Cannadiol Review

Cannadiol is an average CBD company. They white-label their products from hemp oils made by contract manufacturers and slap their label on the side. They offer little information on how the products were made, how they should be used, or what motivates them to be in business.

We found the oils from this company to be just fine — but won’t pass our tests until the company provides more details on their third-party tests, even if they have to source this information from the contract manufacturer they get their hemp from.

Until this happens, we can’t recommend Cannadiol.

Mission/Charity 5/5

Cannadiol is a brand belonging to “Saint Bibiana & Company” which donates to St. Baldrick’s Foundation to help kids fighting with cancer. The company openly advocates for cannabis legalization to make CBD goods more accessible to those with lower incomes — a valiant mission worth supporting.

Hemp Source 3/5

Cannadiol doesn’t provide information about the source of its hemp. The company’s products are white-labeled — meaning Cannadiol puts its label on another company’s CBD oil. It would be nice if Cannadiol gave us a more detailed insight into how their partners source its hemp. This is the biggest area of improvement the company could improve upon.

Product Range 3/5

Cannadiol carries two types of products — regular CBD oil and a CBD topical. Its CBD oil comes in two forms; you can either buy a filtered oil or its raw version with all naturally occurring phytonutrients.

Although this is a good start, this is a very low number of products coming from a company that simply white-labels its products.

Innovation 3/5

The company stays up-to-date with current innovation trends by using CO2-extracted CBD. The extracts are further vacuum-filtered or left in their natural form, with fractions of plant material remaining in the final product.

The company isn’t doing anything truly innovative — they’re simply following the industry standards.

Safety 2/5

Cannadiol provides useful information on the safety of their products and of CBD in general. On top of that, they give clear instructions on how to use their products, making special safety disclaimers for children and pregnant/breastfeeding women, and recommending customers to discuss their supplements with a qualified healthcare professional.

The rating in this category falls apart when we started to look at the third-party test results from this company — which are nowhere to be found on the company website. Additionally, customer service agents never responded to our requests to see these tests. Big fail in this category.

Customer Service 3/5

Cannadiol has been suggested to have excellent customer service on various online forums like Reddit — but we found something very different.

The “people before profits” policy is just another buzzword used to make Cannadiol look better. From our experience, this company doesn’t actually respond to queries if the answer isn’t blatantly obvious on the company website.

Cannadiol Company Review

About the Company: Cannadiol

Cannadiol is a brand working under its parent name Saint Bibiana & Company. Interestingly, Saint Bibiana is known for her patronage with headaches and epilepsy, something CBD has strong potential to treat. This is a very unique way to talk about the benefits provided by their products.

Speaking of which, Cannadiol sells high-quality CBD oil supplements such as oil and heating rubs. While this isn’t the most impressive assortment compared to some other CBD vendors, Cannadiol makes up for it with the quality of its products.

All of Cannadiol’s CBD goods are CO2-extracted, contain a broad spectrum of cannabinoids, and are tested by third-party laboratories to prove the purity and potency of the extracts.

The great thing about Cannadiol is that it actually cares for their customers, which is visible in its “people first” customer service and support for cannabis legalization. The company believes that the legal hemp market is the key to increasing the accessibility of CBD.

On top of that, the company donates to St. Baldrick’s Foundation to help children struggling with cancer, which is a good testament to its mission statement — to improve the quality of life for its customers and their families.

Let’s take a look at the product selection.

What Products Does Cannadiol Sell?

Cannadiol uses full-spectrum CBD extracts with low THC concentrations (below 0.3%), so you can rest assured that its products won’t get you high.

The company sells cannabidiol in two forms including oil-based pastes and topical rubs.

We’re going to start with their classic CBD oil.

1. CBD Hemp Oil

Cannadiol has two versions of CBD hemp oil, one that was vacuum-filtered for a smoother consistency and better user experience, and the other one containing all naturally occurring phytonutrients in hemp.

A) Botanical Select Hemp Oil

$124.00
Cannadiol

Cannadiol Botanical Select Hemp Oil 3 mL

3.33 / 5

Total CBD : 420 mg
Potency: 140 mg/mL
Cost per mg CBD : $0.30
Extract Type : Full-spectrum
THC Content: <0.3%

Advertised as an exceptionally clean-tasting and nutrient-dense source of hemp-based cannabinoids, Botanical Select hemp oil contains a decarboxylated (active) and filtered hemp extract.

The oil has a smooth gel-like consistency and a yellow-gold color provided by the naturally occurring hemp carotenoids.

Like all Cannadiol’s products, Botanical Select Hemp Oil is made with supercritical CO2 extraction for maximum purity.

B) Phyto Health Hemp Oil

$74.00
Cannadiol

Cannadiol Phyto Health Hemp Oil 3 mL (3 gram tube)

Total CBD : 450 mg
Potency : 150 mg/mL
Cost per mg CBD: $0.16
Extract Type : Full-spectrum
THC Content: Not Listed

This is the product for those who want to draw the benefits of full-spectrum CBD extracts in their most natural form.

Phyto Health Hemp Oil contains CO2-extracted full-spectrum cannabidiol; the only difference between this product and Botanical Select Hemp Oil is the lack of filtration.

Since the oil is not filtered, it retains the hemp plant’s natural phytochemical composition and has a unique texture with a thick gel-like consistency, and rich green color.

2. Topicals

CBD topicals are meant to bring relief from localized discomfort. They affect the CB2 receptors beneath the skin surface, reducing inflammation, pain, joint stiffness, and muscle soreness.

A) HEAT Balm

Cannadiol is among the first companies to mix emu oil with CBD oil and add a little bit of cayenne pepper extract to make HEAT — Hemp Emu Active Topical — aimed specifically at joint and muscle pain relief.

A 1 Fl Oz container will cost you $29.00. It will last about 6 weeks if applied twice per day on one targe area.

What Does Cannadiol Do Well?

1. Well-Crafted Products

While Cannadiol doesn’t grow its hemp plants — nor does it produce CBD extracts in its own facility — we can’t say a bad word about their products. They meet the industry’s quality standard, they’re extracted with CO2, and above all, they do their job well.

No fireworks here but no disappointment either.

2. Usage Recommendations

If you’re new to CBD, Cannadiol is the brand you may want to start with.

The company provides detailed guidelines on how to use its CBD products. It also has safety disclaimers for people who might be negatively affected by consuming CBD-based supplements, e.g. pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, allergy sufferers etc.

3. Price/Quality Ratio

We’ve come across the so-called “cheap CBD oil” several times in our lives, but each time we try such products, we end up utterly unsatisfied with the effects. The manufacturing of CBD is a costly process and it often involves high-tech equipment in order to produce CBD extracts that will be clean, potent, and safe for consumption. Therefore, the term “cheap CBD oil” often refers to its quality, not price.

With Cannadiol, it’s a different story.

Part of the company’s mission is to make its products more accessible to people. They don’t have their own farms or extraction facilities; instead, they import ready-made CO2-obtained hemp extracts which they blend into their original formulas.

This allows Cannadiol to sell CBD at affordable prices without compromising the quality of the end product.

4. Great Customer Experience

Not only is Cannadiol’s website neat and user-friendly, but it also contains literally everything a CBD user would like to know.

From FAQs about CBD to clear terms of use to usage recommendations and safety disclaimers — it’s all there. No need to bounce between different websites or look for a site map

Where Could Cannadiol Improve?

Now it’s time to share some thoughts on the room for improvement when it comes to Cannadiol’s product selection and other details that hold them from becoming one of the top CBD providers on the market.

1. Zero Information about the Source of CBD

All we know is that Cannadiol uses readymade CBD extracts they import from their partners. Sadly, there’s no information on who their partners are and where they grow their hemp. We can only read the hemp is non-GMO, organic, and pesticide-free.

2. Narrow Range of CBD Products

Don’t get us wrong, we have nothing against companies specializing in one or two types of CBD products, but selling only oil-based pastes and one warming balm may not be enough for Cannadiol to stay on top of the competition. With such high-quality standards and their drive for innovation, we hope Cannadiol will soon extend its line of CBD products.

3. Outdated Lab Test Results

Before the introduction of their Botanical Select, Phyto Health, and HEAT collections, Cannadiol had been selling CBD tinctures, two types of oil drops — Blue Ribbon Oil and Gold Ribbon Oil — and joint & muscle balm. The results are available for each batch of those products even though Cannadiol no longer sells them, which is quite weird. But the most troubling thing is that all the links to these results lead to a 404 error page.

What about lab test results for their current products? Well, for some reason, they’re not available on the website. You can ask for them through the contact form, but such negligence doesn’t put the company in a good light.

Safety & Third-Party Testing

Cannadiol claims every batch of their products is sampled and then sent to a third-party laboratory (SC Labs) for purity and potency testing. They also check for pesticides and microbes. Cannadiol products are not made available to consumers unless these samples pass all safety and quality screenings.

We all know that companies like to brag about having the most rad products on the market. That’s because it’s in their best interest for consumers to feel safe about using their goods. So, this whole bragging thing is to keep themselves reassured they’ve done everything in their power to deliver the best quality possible.

Fortunately, Cannadiol doesn’t use any buzzwords in their marketing to distract your attention from inferior quality standards. They really want to prove their credibility by openly publishing lab testing results for each batch of their products, and they even have a separate section with links to those results

Alas, these are links to their previous line of CBD extracts, one they don’t sell any longer. There are no lab-testing results for their current selection, so unless they update the list, all we can do is rely on the standards they’ve got us used to.

This is a serious drawback that needs to be fixed if Cannadiol wants to remain credible in the eyes of conscious CBD consumers.

Final Verdict: Cannadiol is a Decent CBD Vendor… And Nothing Beyond That

Overall, Cannadiol seems to be a company that offers high-quality CBD products and cares for its customers from more than just a business perspective. Based on the information provided on their website, Cannadiol employs the best practices in making their unique blends of potent CBD extracts.

It’s not unusual for a CBD company to outsource hemp cultivation and extraction, but this allows Cannadiol to sell their full-spectrum products at affordable prices and make CBD more accessible to people with lower incomes.

There are a few things Cannadiol could do better. We’d like to see where they source their hemp extracts along with an updated list of lab-testing results.

Aside from that, we hope the company will extend its line of products to become more competitive in the continuously thriving industry.
