Best CBD Company Reviews: Top CBD Oil Brands & Manufacturers [2022]

Cannadiol Phyto Health Hemp Oil

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil is a raw, unfiltered CBD extract. It has a thick, gel-like consistency and a strong botanical taste. It is a good choice for the price range, but the company — Cannadiol — appears to be unable to keep up with demand, as its products have been listed as out of stock for several months.

Price/Value 3/5

$74.00 for a 3-gram product containing 450 mg of full-spectrum CBD seems like a very good deal, especially considering the Phyto Health line has the same potency as the Botanical Selection Oil, which costs $50.00 more.

This product would have scored higher if the company offered third-party test results for its products as we can’t confirm these products are free from harmful contaminants.

CBD Potency 5/5

This product is insanely potent. Just 1 mL of the Cannadiol Phyto Health Hemp Oil gives the user 150 mg of full-spectrum CBD. This is well above and beyond the industry average, even for high-potency CBD oils.

Hemp Source 2/5

Cannadiol outsources the manufacturing of its extracts to third-party companies. However, the company doesn’t mention anything about who its partnering farmers and extractors are, let alone the lack of current third-party lab test results for the Phyto Health Hemp Oil.

Purposes/Uses 2/5

It’s difficult to accurately pinpoint this product’s uses when there are no third-party test results to determine its active cannabinoid profile, nor is there even an ingredient list provided anywhere on its website.

Hilariously, the company claims that it wants to educate people on hemp processes, yet the company’s lack of transparency completely contradicts this.

 Formula/Ingredients 4/5

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil’s formula includes a full-spectrum CBD extract with naturally occurring terpenes, chlorophyll, essential oils, and fatty acids. There are no additional ingredients in this formula to help direct the effects of the extract for any specific purpose.

However, as a concentrated hemp extract, this product is intended to be a general-purpose product rather than something designed for a specific symtpoms or condition.

Product Variations 4/5

This is a high-potency full-spectrum hemp extract. Although many of its competitors are offering additional container sizes, this is not completely necessary for a product like this. We feel that offering a single option in this category is justified.

Cannadiol Phyto Health Hemp Oil Review

Article By

When choosing between filtered “gold” CBD oil and unfiltered “dark” CBD oil, there are three questions you need to ask yourself:

  1. Do I want to ingest the plant matter, essential oils, and terpenes as a part of my supplementation routine?
  2. Am I okay with taking a CBD oil with a pretty distinct plant taste?
  3. Am I ready to sacrifice the extra CBD for the added benefits of terpenes and chlorophyll?

If you’ve just answered “yes” to all these questions, then you’re seeking the unfiltered “dark” oil.

In this review, we analyze the Phyto Health Hemp Oil from Cannadiol, the unfiltered version of the Botanical Select line.

How is this product in comparison with other unrefined CBD oils? Is it a legitimate extract or just another attempt to market mediocre oil with fancy buzzwords?

You’ll find all the answers below.

Overview: Phyto Health Hemp Oil

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil is a decarboxylated (active) full-spectrum hemp extract produced by Cannadiol, a daughter brand of Santa Bibiana & Company.

Contrary to the more popular “gold” CBD oil, the Phyto Health formula includes a whole range of natural hemp phytonutrients along with heart-healthy acids such as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), thanks to the lack of filtration. However, it usually comes with lower concentrations of the main active ingredient: CBD.

Key Features and Benefits

1. Sourced from organic hemp

As a natural bioaccumulator, hemp absorbs everything from the soil it’s cultivated in, so the quality of the soil and the way the hemp is grown plays an important role in the quality of the final CBD product. Cannadiol uses domestically grown, organic hemp for its CBD extracts, which ensures safety and the high quality of cannabinoids.

2. Extracted using supercritical CO2.

This produces the cleanest extracts with the highest potency.

3. Contains a full spectrum of cannabinoids.

CBD benefits from the presence of other cannabinoids when used to relieve certain symptoms, such as pain, inflammation, or anxiety. The addition of terpenes can enhance CBD’s health benefits — as numerous studies have shown.

4. Decent bioavailability.

Sublingual CBD products are more readily available than oral CBD products such as capsules and edibles. Sublingual consumption is the most efficient CBD consumption method for those who cannot vaporize hemp for any reason.

Extraction Method Used

This CBD oil has been extracted using supercritical CO2 to ensure the highest concentration of CBD and other cannabinoids. CO2 extraction ensures there are no chemical solvents leftover and the final product is as clean as possible. It’s an unfiltered extract — hence the dark green color, distinct texture, and gel-like consistency.

How to Use the Phyto Health Hemp Oil

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil has been designed to be used sublingually (under the tongue) or orally (by swallowing it).

Sublingual use involves placing one serving of the oil under your tongue and holding it there for 30 to 60 seconds before swallowing. This ensures greater absorption and brings on the effects of CBD faster than when consumed orally.

Speaking of which, you can always add your serving to a spoonful of food and swallow immediately. This method, however, delays the effects of CBD and may compromise its overall effectiveness.

About the Company: Cannadiol

Cannadiol is a brand established under the Saint Bibiana & Company umbrella.

Saint Bibiana & Co., founded in 2015, is a company based in Los Angeles primarily selling CBD-infused body care and health supplements.

The company’s primary mission, as stated on its company description page, “is to improve the quality of life of our customers and their families through offering the guaranteed highest quality supplements & body care products, as well as our people-first customer service attitude”.

Furthermore, the company also believes in fostering growing awareness and understanding of hemp-based supplements “through open and educational dialogue both online and in the real world”.

These principles are, of course, very admirable; yet, the products themselves don’t reflect this, which leads us to believe that this above is just typical company marketing with no clear substance.

Who Should Consider Using Phyto Health Hemp Oil?

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil will suit those looking for a full-spectrum CBD oil with the added benefit of the terpenes and other phytonutrients that naturally occur in hemp. Keep in mind, however, that this product has a very strong taste with distinct “herbal” notes — so if you have a sensitive palate, you might want to choose Cannadiol’s more refined Botanical Select Hemp Oil.

Price/Value

A 3-gram tube containing 450 mg of CBD costs $74.00.

While this isn’t the largest volume you can purchase CBD in, it’s way more potent than what you find in most CBD stores for the same price. Ultimately, you pay $0.16 per mg of CBD — which is a great deal, if you ask us.

Although unfiltered CBD oil is believed to be less potent than the filtered “gold” version, Cannadiol offers the same amount of CBD in both of its products. It looks like the extra $50 you have to pay for the Botanical Select Hemp Oil is for the comfort of not ingesting the plant matter along with the extract.

Product Name Total Price Total CBD Content Cost per mg CBD

CBD Potency

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil is remarkably potent. There are, on average, 24 servings in the tube, each containing 19 mg of CBD. Cannadiol claims that new users may need as little as a drop the size of half a grain of rice to feel the effects.

Hemp Source

Cannadiol doesn’t grow its own hemp, nor does it have its own extraction facility. Instead, it outsources the manufacturing of its CBD extracts to third-party companies. Whether that’s good or bad is up for discussion; as long as the company keeps its third-party lab test results updated, we have nothing to worry about.

Sadly, this is where Cannadiol fails as a company, as it only shows results for the products that it no longer sells.

Purposes/Uses

This oil’s intended purpose is hard to pinpoint when no ingredients list or active cannabinoid profile to analyze.

We can only go by what the company describes in its product description segments, which is that this product is tailored to interact with each individual’s endocannabinoid system via the receptors found throughout the body – this is highly generalized, however.

To administer this product, it must be done orally – this is probably the only thing we can say with a certain amount of confidence.

Formula/Ingredients

The Phyto Health Hemp Oil is nothing more than a well-formulated extract containing hemp’s naturally occurring phytochemicals.

The undisputed advantage of this formula is the presence of terpenes that often enhance the efficacy of CBD and help target the product toward a specific condition.

It would be nice if Cannadiol included the list of terpenes somewhere on its website or packaging, however.

Product Options & Flavors

This product comes in a 3-gram tube and has a natural hemp flavor that is more distinct than the taste of the Botanical Select Hemp Oil due to the lack of filtration.

Currently, Cannadiol doesn’t sell its Phyto Health line in flavors other than natural.

Shipping and Returns

Cannadiol offers both standard shipping and 2nd-day shipping.

The former is has an expected delivery time of 3 to 5 business days, but is typically guaranteed to be 7 to 14 business; the latter has a guaranteed delivery time of 2 business days if ordered before 3pm Eastern Time, excluding weekends – this delivery method is only for domestic U.S. orders only.

Saturday delivery is not available.

Cannadiol does not provide refunds or exchanges on products that arrive in good condition. If the ordered product has been damaged, the company will replace it with the same product or something similar, provided that the customer makes this known within 24 hours.

Final Verdict: Great Product but Doesn’t Keep Up With Transparency Standards

On the whole, the Phyto Health Hemp Oil is a high-quality CBD oil packed with high concentrations of CBD and other phytonutrients found in hemp. On top of its remarkable potency, this seems to be a clean, well-extracted product carrying a whole range of benefits from hemp’s natural terpenes.

Unfortunately, all Cannadiol’s products are currently out of stock, with no sign from the company that this will change anytime soon. This, combined with the lack of valid third-party lab test results for its current selection of CBD oils, makes us a bit unsure about the company’s credibility.

If you feel like spending $74.00 on a promising product that lacks transparency here and there, feel free to experiment. If not, we encourage you to take a look at some of our other reviews and find a product that meets all your expectations.

We advise you to approach this company with a large quantity of caution – in fact, there’s not really much point approaching them at all; there’s nothing to purchase.
