Amma Life Review

Amma Life is a UK-based company with a wide range of product types. It’s one of the only companies we’ve seen so far offering true full-spectrum hemp extracts to the European market. This is quite innovative because there are a lot of hoops to jump in a legal context for a company to be able to do this.

We applaud Amma Life for getting its products out there, and doing such a great job staying on top of the trends for this burgeoning industry — we only wish the company would spend more time and effort getting their products thoroughly tested by a third-party lab for complete transparency in their products.

Mission/Charity 3/5

They don’t appear to be involved in any charities, but their mission is: “For everyone to benefit from superior grade CBD supplements, and to live a healthy, creative & happy life.” They seem to make good on their philosophy as they do provide quality CBD products that can help people live better lives.

Hemp Source 3/5

Amma Life uses full-spectrum CBD sourced from farms in Lithuania, Spain, and Holland. Their claims are corroborated by independent, 3rd party laboratories with certificates of analysis’ clearly posted in each product descriptions images.

However, they don’t list what extraction method they use.

Product Range 5/5

Amma Life has a broad product range including teas, topicals, oils, vapes, and sprays, that come in differing strengths and sizes—which is great for giving people an array of options.

Innovation 5/5

This is where Amma Life really shines. They offer a couple of innovative CBD products that you just don’t see many of including teas and oral sprays, which is nice for people that aren’t loving the traditional delivery method of oils and capsules.

Safety 4/5

They would have received a 5/5 if they made their extraction method known. However, in all other areas regarding safety—they do great. Their hemp is sourced from quality farms that don’t use toxic contaminants or ingredients that is independently tested to guarantee potency and purity.

Customer Service 3/5

While Amma life does have good ratings on Trustpilot—their return policy leaves little to be desired. They offer a 14-day refund, but the product has to be unopened. I don’t know about you, but I have to use or at least see a product to determine if I’m satisfied with it.

Furthermore, customers are responsible for all return costs.

Amma Life Company Review

About the Company: Amma Life

From CBD oils to vapes, sprays to teas, a topical cream to pastes — Amma Life has done their research regarding all the many ways to use CBD.

All of Amma Life’s products are third-party tested to guarantee they are free of dangerous solvents and heavy metals, and to ensure the CBD content matches the company’s claims. However, they don’t explicitly state what extraction method(s) they use, but claim they are “state-of-the-art”.

Amma Life sources their hemp from licensed farmers in Holland, Lithuania, and Spain.

Unfortunately, they only sell and ship products to customers located in the U.K and countries that are part of the European Union, and they don’t offer a money-back guarantee on any of their products.

To be eligible to make a return, the item has to be completely unused and unopened in its original condition within 14 days, which is a bit rigid.

Where Does Amma Life Get Its Hemp?

We love companies that are 100% transparent—and for the most part—Amma Life is. However, they don’t make a point to mention what extraction methods they use.

That said, their products are 3rd party tested and they have recent certificates of analysis for all of their products. They source their hemp from licensed farmers in Holland, Lithuania, and Spain; ensuring they are free of toxic chemicals or other contaminants like pesticides, GMO’s and heavy metals.

Amma Life CBD Oil 10 mL

3.67 / 5

Total CBD: 500 – 2500 mg
Potency : 50 – 250 mg/mL
Cost per mg CBD: £0.05 – £0.11
Extract Type: Full-spectrum
THC Content: 0.0% – 0.1%

This full-spectrum CBD oil comes in a variety of different potencies — all the way from 50 mg/mL – 250 mg/mL. This is an impressive range of potencies — there should be something here for everybody. Like most other CBD oils, the higher the strength, the better the value.

This is a super basic CBD oil, but one of the only options in the UK made with a full-spectrum extract that remains under the local limit of 0.2% THC. It makes for a great all-purpose CBD oil, but if you’re using CBD for a specific symptom or condition, you’re better off looking for something a little more specialized.

Amma Life offers three oils available in different strengths: 500 mg, 1000 mg, 1500 mg, and 2500 mg.

Their oils contain CBD, CBG, terpenes, and hempseed oil that are available in 10 mL bottles.

These E-liquids come in two potencies — 25mg/mL and 50 mg/mL. They’re made with a 60% propylene glycol and 40% vegetable glycerine formula to produce the cool vapor clouds we all seek when using vape products. and contain 0% THC.

Every bottle is guaranteed to contain 0% THC.

Potency : 200 – 300 mg/mL
Cost per mg CBD: £0.05 – £0.08
Extract Type: Full-spectrum
THC Content: 0.1%

Amma Life makes this excellent hemp concentrate. It has a thick, viscous consistency, and an incredible hemp aroma. This is a full-spectrum product and is exceptionally strong. You don’t need much of this stuff to start to feel any effects.

You can buy this in two versions — a 20% CBD option, or a 30% CBD option.

The only thing we don’t like about this product is the lack of third-party testing. Everything else about this product is excellent. The flavor, consistency, and syringe-style applicator are all top-notch.

4. CBD Sprays

A) Amma Life CBDX Water-Soluble Spray

Amma Life CBDX Water-Soluble Spray 5 – 20 mL

Potency: 40 mg/mL
Cost per mg CBD: £0.10 – £0.13
Extract Type: Full-Spectrum
THC Content: 0.1%

CBD sprays are very similar to CBD oils but come in a spray bottle to make it easier to use sublingually (under the tongue). There are two versions of this product, this one is the water-soluble option — which has a lower CBD content, but the company markets it as having a higher bioavailability. We’re skeptical about this concept and get into the details of how this works more in a recent blog post on nano CBD.

Either way, this is a great product, and one of the more convenient ways of using CBD if you find you’re often taking it on the move.

B) Amma Life 3% CBD Oil Spray

This is Amma Life’s full-spectrum CBD oil spray (non-water-soluble). It’s made with 30 mg of CBD for every milliliter (1 pump), and high-grade hempseed oil.

This spray tastes great, and makes using CBD super easy — just spray some under the tongue and hold it there as long as you can to let it absorb through the small capillaries underneath the base of the tongue.

5. CBD Teas

A) Amma Life CBD Tea

£11.59 – £11.99

Amma Life CBD Tea 20 Tea bags

4.17 / 5

Total CBD: 600 mg
Potency: 30 mg/tea bag
Cost per mg CBD: £0.02
Flavors: Hemp, Mint
THC Content : <0.1%

It’s difficult to determine the real price and value for Amma Life CBD Teas because it only lists an approximate potency of 2% CBD per tea bag.

We found the tea had a good taste and definitely gave us some mild CBD effects. It’s got a nice, subtle relaxing effect to it, but definitely won’t give you the powerful effects you may be searching for from stronger products like oils or capsules.

This is a great tea for relaxing at the end of the day, or during a stressful day at work. However, if you need relatively high doses of CBD we recommend opting for one of the CBD oils or pastes instead.

B) Amma Life CBD & Mint Tea

This is essentially the same as the teabags listed above but in mint form. Again, this is a really good tea for relaxing but isn’t going to be suitable for people who need higher doses of CBD.

The mint version, in particular, is really good for upset stomachs, but make sure to avoid this if you’ve got acid reflux as mint tea is just about the worst thing for pyloric issues — in this case, it’s better to go with the regular version of this tea.

6. Topicals

A) Amma Life Nourishing CBD Cream

Amma Life has two topical CBD products — both of which unfortunately don’t even list the CBD content. This makes it really hard to give these products a fair assessment as a CBD topical.

Although we liked both topicals in how they felt on the skin, we can’t recommend them based on the lack of information around the active ingredient — the CBD.

B) Amma Life Deluxe CBD Cream

£49.98

What Does Amma Life Do Well?

Amma Life offers a robust selection of innovative products—with each product having a pretty good variety of strengths and sizes. It’s one of the only companies operating in the UK offering full-spectrum products across the board.

This is a company that provides topicals, e-liquids, and oils — which means that most of the bases are covered. They even have some of the more obscure products like sprays and teas.

Where Could Amma Life Improve?

The main thing Amma Life should address is their lack of mentioning what extraction methods are used for their products. They should also provide extensive third-party testing for every product on the website. At the moment, only a small handful of Amma Life products have the official third-party tests provided to the public.

Transparency is huge in this industry — and something we’re very scrutinous of.

Final Verdict: Innovative UK-Based Company But Lacks Testing

Amma Life offers a wide range of quality CBD products that are versatile enough to meet the needs of most users. They’re operating out of the United Kingdom, which is a place with few CBD companies currently in operation.

Overall, we recommend Amma Life as a company because they provide full-spectrum products with fairly innovative design. There aren’t many companies that offer quality CBD teas, spray, oils, vapes, and topicals on the European market — and the prices from this company are hard to beat.

The only real issue we had with this company is the lack of testing on all their products — something we’ve brought up in almost every section of this review. Some of the company’s products (the topicals mainly) don’t even list the CBD content.
