IrieCBD face serums are available in four variations, with each one optimized for specific skin types (dry, oily, normal, and sensitive). They all contain 20 mg of CBD, according to one of IrieCBD’s online agents, although the CBD content isn’t listed anywhere online. Assuming this is correct, at $4.00 per mg of CBD, IrieCBD face serums are expensive as well as low potency.
At $4.00 per mg CBD, these face serums are a lot more expensive than many other CBD topicals on the market — however, they include additional ingredients such as helichrysum, Melissa oil, and blue tansy, among others, all of which raise the price.
Containing just 0.65 mg of CBD per mL, IrieCBD face serums have low potency. The other ingredients make up for it slightly, but if you’re buying this product specifically for the CBD content, you’re going to be disappointed.
IrieCBD claims that it uses non-GMO and pesticide-free hemp that is grown organically and sustainably, although it doesn’t specify on the website exactly where it is sourced from. There are no third-party lab test results online, however, so you’ll have to take the company’s word for it.
Using essential oils and different types of carrier oils, IrieCBD has produced formulas optimized for each of the four common skin types (sensitive, dry, oily, and normal). It is clear a lot of thought has gone into the formulas used in IrieCBD’s face serum lineup.
These face serums have been designed to promote healthy skin and relief from conditions such as eczema, acne, and inflammation. Each variant has a slightly different purpose, but by matching the right serum to your skin type, the results are going to be far better than those from a generic product. This was a great move on IrieCBD’s behalf.
IrieCBD offers four different face serums that cover a range of different skin types (dry, oily, normal, and sensitive), which is a great selection. However, we would like to see something with a higher CBD content.
IrieCBD is a socially conscious company founded on the belief that CBD should be accessible to everyone who can benefit from its use.
Through IrieCBD’s “Its All Good” program, the company provides one CBD product to someone in need for every two products sold. Also, IrieCBD extends a 15% discount to veterans, offers discounted products to people under certain income levels, and donates resources to doctors and researchers.
For these reasons, IrieCBD is an attractive option for people who want to make a difference with their CBD purchase.
The IrieCBD face serum lineup includes products designed specifically for oily, dry, sensitive, and normal skin.
Depending on which product you choose, IrieCBD face serums contain a variety of other ingredients, including pomegranate oil, evening primrose, vitamin E, helichrysum, and cedarwood.
All IrieCBD face serums contain a total of 20 mg of CBD, according to one of IrieCBD’s online agents. However, the CBD content isn’t listed online.
IrieCBD claims to use high-quality, full-spectrum, non-GMO, and pesticide-free hemp that is grown organically in the US but doesn’t have any third-party lab test results posted online to prove it.

Benefit: Treat a variety of symptoms and conditions.
IrieCBD has a good selection of different products with specific uses in this particular lineup. Many companies provide only one or two CBD topicals, with very few offering several products dedicated to skincare.
Benefit: More effective than a CBD isolate.
Full-spectrum CBD is generally more effective than a CBD isolate. IrieCBD claims to use only CO2-extracted, full-spectrum CBD in its face serums. The inclusion of other beneficial cannabis compounds allows CBD to do its job faster and more effectively.
Benefit: Specialized and targeted treatment.
All IrieCBD face serums contain a unique formula designed to treat specific symptoms. This is good to see because many other companies simply rely on the healing power of CBD to provide relief.
With the inclusion of other plant materials and natural healing compounds in the formulas, IrieCBD face serums may be more effective at treating certain conditions than competitors’ products.
IrieCBD has had a varied history since its inception in 2015.
Founded by Trevor Hill, Karen Lane, and Rick Potts in San Diego, California, the trio began offering a “unique and specialized line of tinctures” until 2017 when the company went through a total rebranding and product line expansion.
Fast forward to 2018 (following a very profitable previous year with exponential growth), Freedom Leaf, a “clean” healthcare company with dealings in the CBD market, signed a definitive asset purchase agreement to purchase the company’s assets and product lines, as well as its trademarks, formulating equipment, and formulas.
As of 2019, all of IrieCBD’s manufacturing and fulfillment services will be transferred from Oakland, CA to a Dallas, TX facility.

IrieCBD face serums are an excellent choice for people looking to treat skin conditions on their face — for example, eczema, acne, and inflammation.
The bottles are small and the CBD content is low, which means they may not be suitable for other areas of the body that require a large amount of product.
IrieCBD face serums are significantly more expensive on a cost per mg of CBD basis than many of the company’s competitors.
The inclusion of other ingredients — such as helichrysum, vitamin E, and many different potentially beneficial plants — is definitely something to consider.
However, in our opinion, IrieCBD face serums are too expensive, as it’s extremely difficult to justify $4.00 per mg of CBD. In fact, it’s by far the highest cost per mg of CBD we’ve seen in our research so far.
Product Name | Total CBD | Total Cost | Cost per mg of CBD |
IrieCBD Face Serums | 20 mg | $79.95 | $4.00 |
Containing just 0.65 mg of CBD per mL, IrieCBD face serums are significantly less potent than many other CBD topicals on the market.
Therefore, if you’re looking to purchase a topical product with a high CBD content, IrieCBD face serums are unlikely to be worth your money.
Product Name | Total CBD | Total Volume | CBD Potency (mg/mL) |
IrieCBD Face Serums | 20 mg | 30 mL (1 oz) | 0.65 mg/mL |
IrieCBD claims that it uses non-GMO and pesticide-free hemp that is grown organically and sustainably in the US, although it doesn’t specify on the website exactly where it is sourced from. There are no third-party lab test results online to back up these claims of high quality.
These face serums have been designed to promote healthy skin and relief from skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and inflammation. Each variant has a slightly different purpose, but by matching the right serum to your skin type, the results are going to be far better than those from a generic product.
IrieCBD has made four unique CBD face serums for specific uses, which isn’t seen very often elsewhere.
The first product in the IrieCBD face serum lineup is designed specifically to help sensitive skin. It includes full-spectrum CBD and several beneficial essential oils and herbal extracts, including pomegranate, evening primrose, helichrysum, blue tansy, and vitamin E.
Many of these ingredients work well for reducing inflammation, eczema flare-ups, and scarring.
For those of you with flaky or dry skin, the dry skin serum has a blend of full-spectrum CBD, lavender, pomegranate, rose otto, frankincense, neroli, apricot oil, and sandalwood.
These ingredients work to stimulate cell regrowth and encourage moisturized and healthy skin.
The normal skin serum is made for people who are looking to give their skin a boost using CBD and other natural ingredients. This formula is a little more simple than the others, including only CBD, bergamot, chamomile, and apricot, rosemary, and Melissa oils.
This serum is great for giving your skin a layer of natural defense.
Lastly, the oily skin serum helps to reduce breakouts and acne eruptions.
Some of the acne-fighting ingredients include elderberry, oregano oil, and clary sage. Dalmatia lavender has anti-scarring properties, and CBD helps to reduce redness and inflammation.
Unfortunately, we can’t recommend the IrieCBD face serums.
IrieCBD is a solid company that is trying to do good in the world with CBD. We would love to support the company’s cause, but there are a couple of things that we can’t ignore regarding IrieCBD face serums.
Firstly, they contain only 20 mg of CBD in a 30 mL (1 oz) bottle. Despite the other potentially beneficial ingredients, $79.95 for the bottle — or $4.00 per mg of CBD — is ridiculously expensive.
Secondly, the company claims that all of its CBD products are made using a high-quality hemp source, but where are the third-party lab test results? IrieCBD doesn’t list them for any of its face serums — nor does it even list the total amount of CBD in the bottle. Without having all the relevant information and being able to review the test results, there’s no way for you to verify the company’s claims.
In conclusion, we would skip these face serums in favor of another reasonably priced CBD skin cream. There are hundreds of other high-quality CBD skincare products currently available on the market for less.
