Hemplucid’s full-spectrum CBD wax addition to its already impressive repertoire comes at a high cost, unfortunately. For an outright cost of $24.47, you get 200 mg of CBD at $0.12 per mg contained. However, the potency is impressive.
Hemplucid CBD Wax costs $24.47 for a product containing 200 mg of CBD, which breaks down to roughly $0.12 per mg of CBD.
Although this is a full-spectrum product, it’s still very expensive compared to similar on the market, which will put a lot of potential buyers off.
According to Hemplucid, this wax has a CBD concentration of 20%. This may seem like a low potency, but it’s to be expected from a wax concentrate product – other products on the market are lower, in fact.
This is also full-spectrum with added cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids to provide a fuller and more encompassing wax product, which is something we always welcome.
Hemplucid sources hemp that is grown, produced and tested within the US (Colorado).
The company’s third-party test results show the cannabinoid profile contained within the product, as well as verification of it being free from pesticides, contaminants, or heavy metals.
As a general note, the company has some of its products listed as USDA Certified Organic, which isn’t the case at all and is very misleading. Read more below to find out more details.
This is a highly concentrated substance that is intended for use with wax rigs and/or modified vaporizers. Because this product is ingested through high-heat methods, it may be ideal for those in need of instant relief from severe symptoms of chronic pain or anxiety.
Hemplucid’s CBD wax is available in one size containing 200 mg of CBD with no other variations. Other variations aren’t particularly necessary here.
CBD waxes won’t win any awards for having the most amount of ingredients put in them, which is to be expected.
Hemplucid has pure whole-plant, full-spectrum hemp CBD extract in its product.
Smoking cannabidiol (CBD) concentrates might seem intimidating — due to high concentration levels and the required equipment — but it’s definitely becoming a more popular method of consuming CBD.
Whilst we wouldn’t typically recommend concentrates for newcomers, Hemplucid’s CBD Wax has a low enough potency that could be an excellent starting point.
This review will dive into Hemplucid CBD Wax to help you determine if this refined smokeable concentrate is the right CBD product for you.
Hemplucid – a CBD company based out of Utah – has innovation and lucidity as the cornerstones of its ethos.
Its mission statement is to “help people understand and experience the benefits of the hemp plant in their lives” – in order to do this, it provides customers with “lucid information and products” that have innovation at the core of its ethos.
From soft-gel capsules and whole-plant tinctures to body creams and lip balms, Hemplucid has a varied and extensive CBD product repertoire to show off.
According to a fairly recent Reddit AMA, Chase, the CEO of the company, claimed that Hemplucid’s CBD products are different to its competitors due to the hemp having a “robust cannabinoid profile” derived from a proprietary genetic developed over the course of a decade.
He goes on to further state that quality control is imperative and that “nothing undesirable gets past” due to holding the company and its processes to a “higher standard”.
The most useful aspect of Hemplucid’s inhalable CBD is that it bypasses the digestive system and goes directly into the lung’s microcapillaries and almost immediately disperses into the bloodstream. As this dispersal happens, CBD – alongside the other cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids – interact with the receptors in your endocannabinoid system (ECS).
Research suggests that the potential benefits of this interaction include combating symptoms such as pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, and stress.

Because you’re opting to choose a method of ingestion that involves smoke and combustion, you’ll feel the effects almost immediately.
As opposed to edibles where CBD is absorbed via the digestive system, inhalation bypasses this process and goes straight into the lungs, allowing for quicker and more efficient CBD delivery.
Compared with other methods of ingestion, a little goes a long way — you don’t need much to experience the effects. All you need to do is place a small amount in a dab pen and it will heat up the wax as you begin to inhale it.
As a side note, Hemplucid doesn’t provide dosing information or a guideline. We can’t accurately recommend specific dosages for everyone, but we always implore users to start as small as they can and (if needs be) go to a higher dosage.
One of the reasons why CBD wax products are so popular is they’re odorless and tasteless. You don’t get a bitter taste as you would with a naturally-flavored CBD oil, nor do you get a strong smell lingering throughout your house as you exhale.
We don’t recommend using this product in public, despite the distinct lack of odor. The simple act of dabbing and the fact that you’re using equipment that looks like a bong will more than likely attract attention from law enforcement – save yourself the hassle and keep it in the comfort of your living room.
Founded in Provo, Utah in 2016, Hemplucid claims that its name “portrays a promise to provide not only the cleanest hemp product but give you a lucid understanding of what hemp can truly do for you”.
At its core, Hemplucid’s objective is separated into three main focuses: quality, safety, and innovation – all underpinned by a mission statement that realizes “the heart of health comes from the whole-plant and not just isolated cannabinoids”.
This product may be great for those looking for a CBD concentrate with a lower potency compared with other waxes on the market – higher potencies for newcomers could be overwhelming and not applicable to their symptoms.
However, if you’re someone who’s inexperienced, but wants to divulge in CBD wax, this could be the next logical step – the lower 20% CBD concentration, as well as the other chemical compounds present, is a lot more newcomer-friendly.
More experienced users may be turned off by the limited potency and opt-out for a stronger wax.
Hemplucid CBD Wax costs $24.47 for 200 mg of CBD, which works out to roughly $0.12 per mg of CBD, making it a bit pricey compared with similar products on the market.
However, the concentration itself is decent, though the price is uncharacteristically high for a wax, despite the fact that it’s a full-spectrum product. Other waxes on the market, whether they be full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate, are lower in cost – usually around $0.06 – $0.09.
Unlike other products offered by Hemplucid, there’s no option to decrease the price per mg of CBD if you purchase large quantities of CBD wax, so you’re stuck with paying this much regardless of how much you’re looking to buy.

According to Hemplucid, this product has a potency of 20% (200 mg of CBD per 1000 mg extract), but third-party lab test results show it varies from as low as 17% to as high as 21%.
For the cost of the product itself, we’d expect a much more consistent potency across the board – this is quite disappointing.

On its website, Hemplucid states that it sources its hemp from Colorado due to its higher quality control and experienced growers.
The company also uses ProVerde Laboratories – a testing laboratory specifically designed for cannabis and hemp also based in Colorado – to conduct its third-party testing, which shows the cannabinoid profile, as well as it being free from pesticides, contaminants, and heavy metals.
As a general note, we have been particularly concerned with the USDA Certified Organic stamp shown across a lot of the website – the symbol can be seen second from the right.
In layman’s terms, a USDA Certified Organic stamp means that the item and/or product should contain 95% organic ingredients in its formulation, which means that it should be totally free from pesticides, fertilizers, and dyes, as well as free from solvents, genetic manipulation, and irradiation.
After we’d conducted a search using the USDA’s Organic Integrity Database, which lists every farm or business with the Certified Organic stamp, we found that Hemplucid is not included in this database.
We have emailed a representative about this and this is the response we received:
“I’m sorry for the confusion, I just found out that to be fully organic certified, You have to be in the same fields for a minimum of three years. We recently moved fields a few years ago and will be re-certified in early 2020. I hope this doesn’t affect your work on writing about organic Hemp In America.”
Therefore, be aware, Hemplucid is not currently USDA Certified Organic.
Hemplucid doesn’t provide any specific cases that this wax can help with, but because it’s a concentrated product that is meant to be smoked, it’s fast-acting — so you will notice the effects almost instantaneously.
Hemplucid states that its CBD wax is “rich in terpenes” and is, overall, “fast-acting and vastly more potent than the isolated CBD extracts you’ll find elsewhere”.
Because this is a wax, no other ingredients are noted other than the whole-plant, full-spectrum hemp CBD extract.
Hemplucid states that customers from the United States and its territories can expect to receive their order 3 to 7 days using either USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
Hemplucid has currently suspended all international shipping indefinitely. We emailed a company representative and they said they will let us know when international shipping resumes. Until then, shipping is only for the United States and its territories.
The company also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee from the day of your initial purchase. Before any refund can take place, you must contact [email protected] to have it authorized in writing by a Hemplucid representative.
Unfortunately, we’re stuck sitting on the fence with this product, which is a huge shame considering Hemplucid has a consistent track record.
The price, unfortunately, is the biggest drawback. Though the concentration is typically 20% CBD with the inclusion of other cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids, the cost of this product is far too high, both outright and per mg of CBD – there are other similar wax products on the market for a lower price and roughly the same CBD content.
Additionally, there seems to be too much inconsistency between the product and the third-party lab test results. On the label, Hemplucid states that this product has a 20% CBD concentration, but third-party lab test results have shown that this isn’t always the case.
What’s even more unfortunate is the company’s misleading USDA Certified Organic stamp of approval, which is not something it actually has, damaging the company’s reputation somewhat.
