Charlotte’s Web is a pioneer in the CBD industry and the company has a great selection of high-quality CBD products. However, its CBD capsules aren’t doing anything exceptional to capture our attention. They use a common formula and cost roughly the same as many other capsule products on the market.

These CBD capsules are reasonably priced for a full-spectrum product. The founders — the Stanley Brothers are pioneers in the CBD space with the invention of their initial high-CBD, low-THC marijuana strain aptly named “Charlotte’s Web”.
Charlotte’s Web products maintain some of the highest levels of quality in the market, grown by experienced growers with strong attention to detail.
These aren’t the cheapest CBD capsules on the market, but the price is justified by the use of a full-spectrum extract from experienced growers like the Stanley Brothers.

At 15 – 25 mg of CBD per capsule, these capsules are considered a low to mid potency product. Most capsules fall somewhere between 15–25 mg per capsule and sometimes contain more than 50 mg.
If you’re new to CBD, Charlotte’s Web CBD capsules may be a good way to ease yourself into CBD to see how it affects you. Experienced users will probably want to consider higher potency options.

Although the formula is fine, we’d like to see Charlotte’s Web infuse other natural ingredients to offer symptom-specific relief.

Charlotte’s Web was one of the first companies to enter the CBD industry. It began when a family approached the company to help their daughter Charlotte manage seizures associated with Dravet’s Syndrome. The result was a strain of cannabis that had a high-CBD and a low-THC content.
This strain became known as Charlotte’s Web and was able to effectively reduce the young girl’s seizures.
Since then, Charlotte’s Web has expanded its product line to include tinctures, topicals, capsules, pet products, and isolates. The company is also one of the only CBD suppliers that grow its own hemp — which allows Charlotte’s Web to maintain greater control over the final quality and consistency of its products.

Charlotte’s Web CBD capsules are slightly more expensive than many other options on the market. The higher cost can be partially attributed to using a full-spectrum CBD extract but otherwise, these capsules are quite similar to competitors’ products.
At 15 mg to 25 mg of CBD, these CBD capsules might be appropriate for newcomers to CBD or those of you with mild symptoms. We’ve seen many other options with 25 or 50 mg per capsule which may be more appropriate for people with extensive experience with CBD.

Charlotte’s Web is one of the few companies that grows its own hemp. The company’s hemp is non-GMO and grown locally in Colorado, Oregon, and Kentucky. The hemp is free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides — Charlotte’s Web provides test results to back up these claims but they’re conducted internally. We’d like to see the company provide third-party test results in the future.
Charlotte’s Web is one of the few CBD suppliers with the U.S. Hemp Authority’s seal of approval.

Charlotte’s Web recommends using its CBD capsules if you’re hoping to achieve consistent doses to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, stress, sore muscles as the result of exercise, or to increase your focus. The basic formula makes it hard to recommend these capsules for any particular symptom.

Final Verdict: A Good CBD Capsule Overall
Charlotte’s Web should be the leader in the CBD industry.
These CBD capsules are made from an excellent hemp product and come at industry-average prices. However, there’s nothing notable about them. The price is average, the potency is a little bit on the low-end (even the extra strength version), and the hemp extract is just as good as many of the CBD capsules in this price range.
While we definitely don’t have any problem with these capsules — they work great — we don’t particularly recommend them over other brands either.
