However, we have to account for the many other ingredients present, such as retinol. There’s also the fact that cosmetic CBD products are more complex than standard CBD-infused topicals such as balms, which also raises their costs. Nonetheless, this price is on the higher end of the average for CBD cosmetics.

The CBD isolate used in this cream comes from non-GMO, European hemp plants cultivated with organic farming practices. While this is a solid source of hemp, we’d like to see some improvements.
For starters, Nordic Oil should order third-party lab tests for pesticides, heavy metals, and other potential contaminants to provide an added layer of safety. It would also be great if it obtained an organic hemp certification from the EU.
Formulation/Ingredients
The two key ingredients in this cream are CBD isolate (90 mg) and retinol (vitamin A).
They make for an excellent combination because the anti-aging and overall skin benefits of retinol are backed by research, whereas CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties and other effects can also benefit the skin.
Aside from that, the cream contains dozens of other ingredients commonly used in skincare products, such as xanthan gum, glycerin, and glyceryl stearate. It’s understandable for creams to use these substances because they have to combine water with oil and keep them stable for long periods of time.
Altogether, this formula is solid, but has one central flaw: it contains too little CBD.

As it stands, this product is nothing more than a glorified retinol cream. It makes more sense to buy a CBD balm or regular tincture and use it on your face in addition to a standard anti-aging cream.
