About the Company: Nanocraft
Nanocraft was founded by Todd Erwin and Stefan McKellar over in La Jolla, California. Their goal was to become a leader in CBD manufacturing in the athletic performance space. Something we’re excited to see more of in the near future.
Nanocraft designs its products around athletes from all walks of life to help with endurance, performance, and recovery. All products are made with broad-spectrum and THC-free extracts.
This company is one of several large CBD brands starting to sponsor professional athletes to help sell their products.
Nanocraft’s commitment to providing quality products for the sports and fitness market is just as important to them as their commitment to helping kids via their support for the Mauli Ola Foundation — which helps kids with cystic fibrosis — and the Child Hunger Sucks Organization.
Nanocraft
is no stranger when it comes to pushing the envelope and implementing new
ideas. They employ a Chief Scientific Officer that is
a plant biologist and chemist with over 20 years of experience working in
nutrition technology.
In fact, the Nanocraft moniker is named after the type of technology used to manufacture their CBD — Nano-technology.
This method of production allows key ingredients to be more bioavailable, meaning you need less of the beneficial cannabinoids and nutrients than competitor products to achieve the same results.
Where Does Nanocraft Source Its
Hemp?
While Nanocraft affirms all its products are grown in a pesticide and GMO-free, and solventless cGMP-certified laboratory — they don’t state where they actually get their hemp from.
The company does mention that all of its products go through rigorous third-party testing and have individual test results posted with product images. As far as extraction goes, they use CO2, which is widely considered the best method to ensure the potency and purity of CBD.

Nanocraft carries 25 mg CBD softgels, which are more easily absorbed than hard-shell capsules. They claim their patent-pending nano-emulsion extraction method renders a product with 4x the bio-availability of other brands.
Of course, we’re skeptical about these claims but will give this company the benefit of the doubt until their patents are approved.
Each bottle comes with 30 soft gels for $79.99.

For topical aches and pains from sports and exercise-related injuries — Nanocraft offers CBD Pain Salve Sticks that help fight pain, sore muscles, and inflammation. These are popular products among athletes and fitness-orientated people.
Although both of these products are made with excellent quality, we prefer the higher potency (500 mg) stick to the regular stick as we found it has the greatest level of benefit.
Each bottle comes in either a 500 mg or 100 mg strength formulated with coconut oil, herbal extracts, and essential oils of cayenne and peppermint. This is an interesting mix as it offers both cooling and warming qualities to the surface of the skin.

The CBD Superfood Green Powder is a nifty CBD product you won’t find anywhere else. It’s formulated with probiotics, phytonutrients, digestive enzymes, and stress-relieving adaptogens — including 25 mg of CBD per serving.
The company’s CBD Energy + Recovery formula contains the same amount of CBD per serving (25 mg) as their other powdered supplement — however, this one contains phytocannabinoids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
Apparently, this product is formulated to help your body bounce back from intense workout sessions.
5. CBD Water
NanoCraft CBD Water
NanoCraft has been working on a new line of CBD waters for almost a year now. We’re eager to give these a try — but a definite release date is yet to be released.
The company does provide some information on what we can expect from this product when it comes out.
There are three types of CBD waters the company will be releasing:
- Craft H2O CBD Recovery Water — Cucumber kiwi flavored with BCAA’s, electrolytes, potassium and 10mg of CBD.
- Craft H2O CBD Water — PH 9 alkaline water with methyl B12, coenzyme Q10, potassium, electrolytes, and CBD.
- Craft H2O Energy Water — With organic caffeine, vitamin B-12, electrolytes, and 10 mg CBD.
Each product will be made using the company’s usual nano CBD blend — which allows the CBD to dissolve more easily in water. This compares to natural CBD which is fat-soluble and won’t dissolve in water very easily.
What Does Nanocraft Do Well?
Nanocraft offers innovative and unique products geared towards a demographic that normally isn’t represented in the cannabis industry — and at a cheaper price than most other CBD companies.
While saving money is a good thing, remember cheap isn’t always a good thing — you usually get what you pay for.
Nanocraft does provide detailed information about the products and why they are formulated a certain way, dosing information, extraction method, ingredients, and current lab results.
They seem to have a pretty good customer service policy as they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and a rewards program for their loyal customer base.
We also like how this company uses athletic sponsors to help talk about real applications of their products from people who regularly push their bodies to the maximum.
Where Could Nanocraft Improve?
Nanocraft really needs to list where their hemp is grown — both location-wise and what company or business they’re contracted with to make their nano CBD extracts.
Being fully transparent ensures consumers know exactly what they’re getting and from where. It’s considered an industry standard — so not having their sources listed is definitely a negative.
Safety & Third-Party Testing
Nanocraft has all third-party test results displayed on each product page. Tests were performed by Green Scientific Labs.
All tests appear to be up to date and new tests are added every few months.
We didn’t notice any potentially harmful ingredients, and each product had clear dosing information listed. However, please double-check if you have any known allergies to anything listed on the package before purchasing any Nanocraft product.

Final Verdict: Great Selection of Innovative Products
Nanocraft offers an excellent lineup of products geared towards the athletically motivated. This, coupled with the fact that for every sale Nanocraft makes, they donate $1 to help hungry and sick children makes purchasing from this company a great decision.
We like that Nanocraft products are affordable, broad-spectrum, non-GMO, and free of pesticides, chemicals, and herbicides.
The only hesitation we had when buying from this company came from the company not listing where the hemp used to make these products is sourced from — despite listing third-party lab results.
In this day and age, transparency is key.
With that said, we found these products to be of high quality and had intelligent formulas to support each product intended uses. Nanocraft is a top-notch CBD company overall.
