King Kanine uses high-quality ingredients for this topical CBD balm at a reasonable price point $0.04 mer pg of CBD — there are companies selling topicals with 90% less of this potency (7.7 mg of CBD/mL) for nearly double the price for humans. Kudos to King Kanine for a stellar product.

The waxy texture from the beeswax helps to create a seal around the affected area to protect the skin while still allowing it to breathe. This is a simple formula, but it’s effective. There’s no need to add any harmful chemicals to preserve the balm because coconut oil, beeswax, honey, and the added essential oils are naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.

Hemp Source
King Kanine places a strong emphasis on its hemp source. The extracts are manufactured from Vermont Organic Farms (VOF), and its batch tested for pesticides, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and residual — it passes with flying colors.
While it does have a VOF organic certification, it’s not USDA certified organic. The VOF was created by farmers with strict regulations for what they consider to be organic farming practices and rigorously tested for contaminants.
The USDA Certified Organic seal means the contents should be 95% certified organic (free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers, dyes, and solvents).
With the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp is now an eligible crop for the USDA organic certification. However, some states are slower to implement this certification process for its crops.
