Best CBD Company Reviews: Top CBD Oil Brands & Manufacturers [2022]

Diamond CBD Shot

This company is making incredible claims for these CBD shots we feel they can’t back up.

The most shocking is the company’s 350 mg CBD Double Shot — which at first glance appears to have 350 mg of CBD. This isn’t likely the case — instead, the company is just using misleading language to make it seem stronger than it is, and offers no independent tests to back up the actual CBD content of this product or its quality.

With past claims that Diamond CBD uses a synthetic version of CBD — closely related to Spice or K2 — we’re extremely skeptical about using this product.

We reached out to Diamond to ease our concerns with some third-party lab tests to prove the claims they’re making — but got nothing in response.
If you’re looking for a CBD shot, we recommend going with something like Infinite CBD instead. This is not something we’d recommend using.

Price/Value 2/5

Diamond CBD has been accused of using synthetic cannabinoids, and the third-party test results show a significantly lower cannabinoid content than advertised in these CBD shots.

Whether this company is misleading its customers into thinking they’re using more CBD than they are, or they’re using excessive doses of low-quality CBD — we can’t give them the thumbs up in terms of value.

CBD Potency 2/5

Most of the shots contain 20 mg of CBD, which is on the mid-high end of the scale for CBD drinks. However, the double shot includes an extremely high dose of 350 mg in 1 mL.

It’s most likely this is simply misleading language — the package states “Derived from our 350 mg CBD 30 mL Bottle” — which suggests the company is just mixing the oils from their 350 mg tincture.

Without any testing on this product, we can’t be sure this is accurate and err on the side of disbelief.

Hemp Source 2/5

Diamond CBD claims to use high-quality hemp sources located in Colorado, Kentucky, and Scandinavia.

There are no third-party tests available, and with claims the company is using sketchy synthetic sources of CBD going around, we can’t give them a good score until Diamond CBD takes measures to clear their name — which we have yet to see happen.

Purpose/Uses 2/5

CBD shots are best for people who are frequently on the go and looking for a convenient way to take their CBD on the move.

If you’re using doses as high as 350 mg like it appears this product offers — you need to be under close watch from a medical professional who knows what they’re doing.

Product Variations 4/5

Diamond CBD has four major categories of CBD shots, and some of those are available in multiple flavors. This is a lot more than most CBD companies are offering.

Formulation/Ingredients 1/5

The company suggests two ingredients in this formula — “Cannabidiol from Extremely Active CBD, [and] Kosher USP Food Grade Vegetable Oil”.

What’s “extremely active CBD” anyway? We couldn’t get an answer from Diamond CBD on this one and found the ingredients list on these shots to be misleading, unrealistic. It appears these shots primarily consist of a cheap CBD oil and vegetable oils.

Diamond CBD Shot Review

Article By
Dylan James , last updated on November 16, 2021

CBD shots are a quick and effective way to get a boost of CBD. They’re premeasured and come in small bottles that can be taken with you wherever you go.

As the popularity of CBD shots continues to rise, more companies are beginning to offer their own take on the convenient beverage. How do you choose the right one for your needs?

In this product review, we’ll evaluate the CBD shots from Diamond CBD. The company has a great selection of unique products — but there are several red flags that ultimately lead us to suggest avoiding this company, especially these CBD shots.

Diamond CBD has been accused of using synthetic cannabinoids, and the company’s early third-party test results show a much lower CBD content than advertised. We were unable to find current lab tests for their products either — which is a big problem for us.

For these reasons, we can’t recommend Diamond CBD shots.

Overview: Diamond CBD Shots

Diamond CBD sources all of its hemp from high-quality regions including Colorado, Kentucky, and Scandinavia — all of these areas are well known for having an ideal climate for hemp.

The company’s shots are available in several flavors and CBD strengths. Many of its CBD shots are designed to help you relax and chill — with most of them contain 20 mg of “full-spectrum” CBD. We put this in bunny ears because we don’t actually think the company is using full-spectrum extract — based on previous lab tests and a host of people complaining about these products on forums like Reddit.

Diamond CBD also has a nighly concentrated CBD shot with 350 mg in a 1 mL packet — which is an insane dose of CBD. Again, we don’t believe this is accurate and would love Diamond CBD to send us current independent lab test results to back these claims up.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons

  • Portable and discreet
  • Good selection of CBD shots

  • Reports of synthetic cannabinoids
  • Unrealistic claims of CBD content
  • Unresponsive customer service team
  • No current third-party lab tests available

Key Features and Benefits

1. Portable & Discreet

Benefit: Use your CBD wherever you are

Diamond CBD’s shots are all premeasured and come in small bottles, which makes them easy to put in your pocket or bag for when you really need them. If you prefer to use your CBD discreetly, CBD shots make it easy.

2. Good Selection of Products

Benefit: Find the right shot for your needs and preferences

Diamond CBD offers six unique CBD shots, in several flavors. The company has a high-potency option, a few options to relax and chill, and a CBD-free option with a variety of other beneficial herbal extracts.

Who Should Consider Using CBD Shots?

If you’re looking for a portable and convenient way to use your CBD, shots are the way to go.

Although Diamond CBD has a lot of attractive options, we wouldn’t recommend anybody use these products. There are simply too many red flags that this company is making false claims, and using potentially dangerous ingredients to make these products.

It’s also not clear the formulas the company is using to make these shots make sense for the purposes they’re marketed for.

We recommend using CBD shots from a company like Hemp Bombs or Infinite CBD instead.

Price/Value

If you purchase the double shot product, it’s a great deal at only $0.02 per mg of CBD!

Double Shot N/A 350 mg $7.99 $0.02/mg
Delta 8 CBD Chill Shot N/A 20 mg $14.99 $0.75/mg

CBD Potency

Diamond CBD offers a high-potency option with 350 mg in a 30 mL packet — which is the highest CBD content we’ve seen to date. So high, we find it hard to believe without third-party test confirmation.

It’s possible (and likely) the company is using misleading language to make it seem like the package contains more CBD than it really does by stating “Derived from our 350 mg CBD 30 mL Bottle” — when this actually contains far less.

Hemp Source

Diamond CBD sources its hemp from regions well known for climates suited for growing quality hemp including Colorado, Kentucky, and Scandinavia.

With so many other issues with this company, we find it hard to believe the claims that the company uses organically-grown hemp. But we’ve given them the benefit of the doubt until we can see some third-party testing that’s more recent than 2017 to back this up.

Product Variations/Flavors

There are 4 major CBD shots offered by Diamond CBD.

  1. Double Shot — This is an ultra high-potency shot with an unknown amount of CBD. The original claim appears to be 350 mg, but upon closer inspection, it appears the company simply made the product from hemp oil with 350 mg of CBD per oz. We have no idea how much CBD is in this product.
  2. Relax — This product contains 20 mg of CBD and comes in Jungle Juice, Berry, and Grape flavors.
  3. Chill — This one seems to be exactly the same as the relax variety but doesn’t list a specific flavor. For some reason, it’s also $2.00 more.
  4. Lean — This shot is CBD free. However, it contains several other beneficial ingredients such as L-theanine, chamomile, lavender, kava kava, among others.

Formulation/Ingredients

Most of the products have fairly standard formulas, including hemp extract, sugar, and various other flavorings. The only notable product is the Lean shot, which has a variety of additional herbs and extracts but no CBD.

Final Verdict: Avoid Diamond CBD Shots at All Costs

On the surface, Diamond CBD seems to offer a few high-quality CBD shots. However, with a little bit of digging, the illusion falls apart.

The company’s posted third-party test results from 2017 show a much lower cannabinoid content than what Diamond CBD is advertising. Why they choose to leave these test results is just as confusing to us, as it is to you. There are no up-to-date tests for any of the products either — which is a major red flag for us, especially with a past like this.

Second, the company has been accused of using synthetic cannabinoids and other potentially dangerous ingredients in its products. These ingredients can have adverse effects — why use CBD products if they may make you feel worse?

And third, the company advertises 350 mg in large print on the package of their double shots, and in the description for the product on their webpage. This dose makes no sense, especially for $7.99. When you look closer, it appears they only “derive” this product from their 350 mg tincture bottle.

Either way, whether they’re misleading customers or falsely advertising the CBD content of their products — this is something you should avoid.

We cannot recommend purchasing Diamond CBD’s products until the company sorts out these two glaring issues. In the meantime, check out CBDfx Lemonade Chill Shot or review our list of top CBD shots to find a better alternative.
