Cake Review

Disposable delta 8 THC vape pens have appeared all over the U.S. and Canada recently under a brand called “Cake.”

There’s a lot of uncertainty around this brand — there’s no website, no clear origin or manufacturer, and the branded packaging is sold in bulk on Alibaba and other wholesale platforms.

Additionally, the lab reports are sometimes printed on empty packaging, which makes them unreliable and untrustworthy.

While it’s possible there’s an official Cake manufacturer out there, nobody has come forward to clear up the confusion surrounding this brand or combat the counterfeit products infiltrating the market.

We recommend avoiding Cake altogether in favor of brands with better integrity for their products — such as Area 52, Finest Labs, Delta Effex, or 3Chi.

Scam Company 1/5

While it’s possible some Cake products are legit, there are too many fake products on the market for this to be considered a safe brand to buy. You can essentially roll the dice on what’s going to be inside these carts.

Even if Cake is legit, the people behind it have remained entirely silent about the issues surrounding the fakes.

Avoid this brand.

Cake Delta 8 THC: Why You Should Avoid This Brand

Is Cake a Legit Company?

I will say this outright; Cake is not a legitimate company.

At least, not in the sense of what we believe a delta 8 THC company should be.

Delta 8 Vape Carts: How to Spot a Fake

When purchasing delta 8 THC, you must be vigilant because delta 8 THC products, although consumables, don’t need FDA approval to be sold legally.

This is a worrying thought because the contents of vape products, in particular, are not necessarily regulated, at least not by the government. With something that you’re going to inhale, you certainly want to know what’s in the product.

This is why legitimate delta 8 THC manufacturers have websites that openly display information about their mission, their product range, and the ingredients that are used in production.

Delta 8 Brand Red Flags to Watch Out For:

(Cake ticks all of these boxes)

  1. The company doesn’t have a website
  2. The company doesn’t offer any third-party lab tests, or there are clear issues with existing tests
  3. The company uses branding or a name that very closely resembles a more established brand
  4. The company only accepts Bitcoin, E-Transfer, or sold only through sketchy third-party vendors
  5. The company is using misleading or false health claims blatently on their products
  6. The price is too good to be true

Does Cake Provide Third-Party Lab Results?

It has also become unacceptable in the delta 8 THC and CBD space to provide a product without a valid third-party laboratory certificate of analysis.

Lab tests provide peace of mind to the consumer and offer a transparent look into the contents of a product before purchase.

Lab results show cannabinoid percentages, trace solvents, unwanted chemical byproducts, and other contaminants that may be present in the extract. A legitimate company with nothing to hide will always provide third-party lab results for all of its products.

Does Cake provide third-party lab results for its product range? No.

You won’t find any third-party lab results on their website because they don’t have an online store, and you won’t find a certificate of analysis in the product packaging.

Where Are Cake’s Products Manufactured?

With a quick search for Cake delta 8 THC on Alibaba, you’ll find several manufactures selling Cake disposable vape pens in bulk for as little as $2.00 per unit. Even more worrying, you’ll find empty Cake brand delta 8 THC packaging and empty vape pens available for purchase as well.

This means that anyone can order the familiar Cake boxes that you’ve probably seen at your local vape shop and fill them with absolutely anything. If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.

Now, that basically proves that Cake is not a legitimate company and shouldn’t be trusted. Several Chinese wholesalers are distributing products under this brand. The contents of the vape pens inside could literally be anything.

This issue can happen with any company, but legit manufacturers take measures to combat this problem so customers can verify the products they bought are authentic.

Look for companies like 3Chi, Area 52, and Delta Effex that employ several layers of authentication or verification during production to make it as hard as possible for fake companies to exist.

For the price these are going for on Alibaba, I highly doubt they contain high-quality delta 8 THC, if any at all. The fact that empty branded packaging is so abundant makes it a complete gamble if you decide to purchase a Cake product online or in-store.

Some products labeled as Cake could be legit. However, there’s never been any public statement from the creators of Cake to address the issues with fake suppliers.

Other Lookalikes

The design of the packaging and the branding font is remarkably similar to a few other brands, including a legit company called Cookies, and another fake company called Caviar.

Cookies THC

The Cookies brand is legit, but there are so many knock-offs for this brand it’s a wonder how they’re still in business at all.

Cake is the delta 8 THC version of the THC vape pens. While we’ve been unable to confirm, one theory is that the same creators of the fake Cookies carts are behind the Cake carts. There’s a manufacturer in China making fake vape carts for knock-offs and fake brands on Alibaba and other marketplaces.

Caviar (Cake Sub Brand)

Another brand often advertised by anonymous Reddit users and members of other delta 8 forums is Caviar — which is strikingly similar to Cake in how it’s branded. These products come in all the same forms as are available for Cake.

Dough

Dough is a little different in the branding but offers virtually identical products and markets itself using the same sketchy methods (basically by spamming people on social media and posting fake Reddit reviews).

Should You Purchase Delta 8 THC From Cake?

Choosing to buy Cake Delta 8 THC is entirely up to you. Although the disposable delta 8 vapes branded as “Cake” may contain delta 8 THC, we wouldn’t recommend purchasing them.

The available Cake packaging on Alibaba makes it easy for people to sell inferior products under this brand name. The lack of a website, third-party lab reports, and company information is worrying. It’s a clear sign that this “company” has got something to hide.

Although we can’t say that this brand is fake, we can say that not just one manufacturer is making these products. This makes it a huge gamble when it comes to purchasing these vape pens. You may not only risk money when you buy a product branded as Cake, but you may also risk your health.

People just like you and I have the ability to purchase empty carts, vape pens, and packaging. So, what’s stopping people from filling them with any old vape juice and selling them directly to customers or to vendors across the country? Absolutely nothing.

Bottom Line: Avoid This Brand!

If you’re currently thinking about purchasing any delta 8 THC products from Cake, we recommend you reconsider. From our research, we’ve concluded that products labeled as the brand “Cake” have a very high chance of being fake.

Cake products could contain inferior ingredients and low to no traces of delta 8 THC. With no legitimate third-party lab results provided with the products, no official website or brand voice, and clear evidence of fakes abundant in the marketplace, consumers have no idea what’s inside these vape pens.

The ingredients could be potentially toxic and harmful when consumed.

There are plenty of legitimate delta 8 THC brands on the market that have professional websites, full track records, and third-party lab results for their entire product ranges.

Although Cake delta 8 THC disposable vape pens may be cheap, your money is far better spent elsewhere.
