For a company that talks themselves up on their website for having premium hemp sourcing, pharmacist-formulated products, and strict quality control measures, we were disappointed in All Natural Way’s Sleep CBD Spray.
This sublingual spray has all the right elements there — GABA, melatonin, valerian root, and CBD, but it misses the mark on several key factors for us to recommend this product.
Price/Value 1/5
A well-formulated CBD spray containing a blend of sleep-supporting supplements should be in the realm of $74.99 like All Natural Way is asking here. However, All Natural Way hasn’t truly justified this price tag.
First off, the extract it claims to use is full-spectrum, but the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) shows only CBD present. Next, we have ambiguity around where the hemp is sourced from and unsatisfactory results for the extract’s quality assurance.
And finally, while there is an appropriate amount of melatonin conducive to a sleep-aid product, the valerian root, GABA, and magnesium gluconate are included in negligible quantities. Melatonin itself isn’t expensive, to begin with, and the CBD strength is on the lower-end of a medium potency.
You’re better off spending that $74.99 towards a well-formulated product from a company that provides more transparency about its quality measures.

It also claims to work with geneticists to oversee the crop and collaborates with a Colombian University for medicinal cannabis research. We weren’t able to find any existence of the university they mention, and ANW lacks any organic certifications, or extract testing that proves the hemp comes from a quality source.

At first glance, we like the looks and sounds of this brand — but upon digging past the surface of what the brand says, we find oddities that make us question the integrity of the company.
According to ANW, some of the aspects that make this brand unique includes:
- Organic hemp farms nourished with natural resources and overseen by a team of genetic experts at all stages of growth
- They work with an expert team of scientists in collaboration with Universidad De Equina de Colombia for hemp and medical cannabis research led by Harvard Ph.D., Juan Restrepo
- ANW has a team of pharmacists that formulate its products
Unfortunately, there are no certifications regarding the organic claim of the hemp crops, and ANW lacks complete (and current) third-party lab tests that show the hemp source is of quality.
Next, we couldn’t find a Universidad De Equina De Colombia that exists or a Dr. Juan Restrepo associated with All Natural Way.
As for the pharmacist-formulated products, we haven’t found many of ANW’s products all that impressive. While they do contain complementary ingredients to CBD — they’re often included well below the recommended dose range, and at the price point this brand asks for, it just doesn’t make sense. You’re better off buying a multivitamin in most cases.

All Natural Way sells the Sleep CBD Spray for $74.99. One 30 mL bottle has 500 mg of full-spectrum CBD extract and a (supposedly) pharmacist-formulated blend of natural, sleep-conducive compounds. This price-point breaks down to roughly $0.14 mg/CBD, which falls well within the scope of products like this ($0.10/mg – $0.16/mg).
That being said, you’re not actually getting full-spectrum CBD in this product. The lab test posted on the product page shows the only cannabinoid found is CBD. Whether All Natural Way doesn’t understand what full-spectrum means or they’re trying to get away with selling CBD isolate as full-spectrum, it doesn’t look good on the company.
Full-spectrum extracts are considered superior for sleep support in comparison to isolates because they have a wide range of cannabinoids and terpenes that amplify the effects of CBD. They’re also generally more expensive than CBD isolate extracts.

To get the best benefits of CBD for sleep, look for a high-strength product. Most studies conducted on the sedative effects of CBD involve high doses.
With only 500 mg in a standard 30 mL bottle, you’re effectively only getting 16.7 mg/mL, which is a low-medium potency. This should be suitable in combination with the 5 mg of melatonin to help you fall asleep to address sleep maintenance insomnia.

Hemp Source
The hemp source is where this company falls short with us. On the product page, it says they use industrial hemp from the “United States and contains no THC.” However, the rest of the website, other products, and the bottle says this is full-spectrum CBD (which contains trace amounts of THC) grown in Colombia for its optimal conditions.
When we asked ANW for complete and current third-party lab testings, our emails went unanswered. The lab test posted on the site is from 2018, and it only tests for cannabinoid profile and potency.
A crucial part of CBD shopping is checking the Certificate of Analysis that shows the hemp source to be of high quality and free from contaminants.
Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which means it’s highly effective at absorbing compounds from its environment. This is great if the crop was grown in optimal conditions. However, if it was grown using pesticide sprays or contaminated soil, those contaminants could end up in the final product, negating the positive effects CBD has to offer.

Six sprays will deliver a 1 mL dose, which is 16.7 mg of CBD, 5 mg of melatonin, along with valerian root extract, GABA, and magnesium gluconate. Simply spray the desired dose under the tongue and hold before swallowing.
Beneath the tongue is a thin mucous membrane diffuser active compounds directly into your bloodstream for fast-acting effects. This won’t knock you out like a sleeping pill, but it can help prime you for sleep. It works best when coupled with good bedtime habits (avoiding screens, caffeine, and sticking to a regular sleep schedule).

In this section, we’ll go over the active ingredients and see how they fit into the formulation in the amounts listed on the label. We’ve found most All Natural Way products include beneficial ingredients to compliment the effects of CBD. However, they’re usually included in negligible quantities.
Let’s start with the star ingredient, CBD
CBD Isolate — 16.7 mg
All Natural Way has opted for a low-medium potency CBD extract for this formula. As we’ve mentioned earlier, this product mislabeled the extract type. It’s not a full-spectrum but a CBD isolate.
For most insomnia types and sleep disturbances, full-spectrum is superior because it includes other beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes to address underlying issues with sleep.
Melatonin — 5 mg
The other most notable ingredient in this formula is the 5 mg of melatonin per six sprays. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone responsible for preparing the body for sleep. The recommended dose is between 5 – 10 mg, and it’s best taken an hour before bed.
Proprietary Blend: GABA And Valerian Root Extract— 2.66 mg
GABA is an amino acid that behaves like a neurotransmitter in the brain. Like a brake pedal in the car, it slows down neural activity to help stop anxiety-inducing racing thoughts, which is often the culprit of onset insomnia.
The recommended dose for GABA as a sleep aid is 1000 mg, so we’re not exactly sure how much benefit GABA has here with valerian root extract at only 2.66 mg per dose combined.
Valerian root is also called nature’s Valium. The active compounds in valerian root act on the same neural receptors in the brain as GABA, which reduces hyperactivity. Doses for valerian root extract is around 400 – 900 mg taken up to 2 hours before bed.
While these are excellent compounds to include in a sleep spray, we’re not convinced it adds much value in these doses.
Magnesium Gluconate — 5.33 mg
Magnesium gluconate is a supplement proven effective to improve sleep quality by increasing GABA to encourage relaxation. The standard dose for magnesium gluconate is between 500 to 1000 mg a day.

Final Verdict: Better Value For Sleep Aid Elsewhere
CBD is a great support supplement when taken in large doses. All Natural Way combines a low strength CBD extract with melatonin and other sleep support supplements.
At $74.99, you’re better off purchasing melatonin supplements (which are inexpensive) and a CBD oil with a higher potency from a company that values hemp sourcing transparency and quality control. The proprietary blend of valerian root and GABA are included in a fraction of the recommended dosage, so we’re not convinced it adds much value here.
