All Natural Way Energy CBD Spray

Need an all-natural way to increase your energy levels? All Natural Way thinks it has you covered with its Energy CBD Spray with 500 mg of CBD, caffeine, and a blend of vitamins to help you with nutritional deficiencies, a common side effect of which is fatigue.

While this sounds impressive, the execution of the product completely fails on delivering the energy levels promised — unless you have a vitamin-B12 deficiency from an unbalanced, plant-based diet. Then you might have some luck with this one.

At $69.99 a bottle, you’re better off with a decent multivitamin that covers your basis for any vitamin deficiency. If you’re truly after a CBD and energy combination, find out our recommendations in this review and why the All Natural Way Energy Spray doesn’t cut it for us.

Price/Value 3/5

The Energy Spray has 500 mg of CBD for $69.99, which breaks down to $0.13 per mg of CBD. This falls between the average price of CBD oils on the market that only contains a simple extract and carrier oil formula.

So, why only three stars? A number of things prove this product may not be all its hyped up to be.

This product is labeled as full-spectrum. However, the lab result posted shows it uses a CBD isolate — and the test is from 2018. Next, we have the fact that the extract isn’t tested for contaminants and comes from Colombia (we’ll get into why this is concerning in more detail).

Considering we’re not too sure about what’s going on in this bottle, we don’t think the price is justified. You can find high-quality oils with energizing properties for around the same price point.

CBD Potency 3/5

This is a medium potency product — 16.7 mg of CBD per mL, but it matches the product’s intended purpose. Too much CBD can actually make you feel relaxed and sleepy, which isn’t what you want in an energizing spray.

Hemp Source 1/5

According to the website, All Natural Way sources its hemp from family-owned farms near Medellin, Colombia. These organic crops are said to grow in optimal conditions and watered with mountain springs.

Sounds ideal — but is this true? There are no organic certifications to back up the claim, and the CBD extract was never tested for contaminants. We reached out to All Natural Way about this, but our emails went unanswered.

Purpose/Uses 3/5

We love to see brands come out with innovative formulas that complement the effects of CBD. While CBD doesn’t exactly have energizing benefits, it could help reduce anxiety and improve mood. We like the spray bottle delivery method — six sprays under the tongue will give you the standard 1 mL dose.

We’re not convinced the formula will be that effective at improving energy levels, unless you’re vitamin B12 deficient. More on this below.

Product Variation 4/5

The CBD Energy Spray is only available in one size and potency (500 mg in 30 mL), but it’s one of five products in the collection of CBD sprays that All Natural Way offers. Each is formulated with a different use in mind.

Formulation/Ingredients 3/5

This formula starts out looking like it has good intentions, but it quickly falls apart when we investigate the ingredients used and in what quantities. It’s labeled as having full-spectrum CBD, which could offer greater health benefits thanks to the entourage effect, but the only cannabinoid present is CBD (according to their own CoA).

Next, we have the vitamins — A, B12, D, and E. While vitamin B12 has 500% of your daily dose, the other vitamins don’t really do much to help you. You’re better off with a more versatile multivitamin if you’re nutrient deficient.

All Natural Way Energy CBD Spray Product Review

Overview: Energy CBD Spray

All Natural Way created this CBD energy spray as a natural way to boost energy levels and regulate mood without the jitters or heart palpitations, which is common with caffeinated energy supplements.

The formula includes green tea extract, coffee extract, glucuronolactone, resveratrol, and vitamins A, B12, D, and E to supplement nutritional deficiencies and normalize blood pressure — two crucial factors in energy metabolism.

While CBD doesn’t directly increase energy levels, it may help reduce the side effects of the caffeine supplements (green tea and coffee bean extracts). All Natural Way could argue that caffeine is the main energy-boosting agent, while CBD helps to stabilize mood throughout the day, helping you feel more energized.

One of the problems we see with this supplement — and other All Natural Way products — is that it claims to use full-spectrum CBD, but the test results posted on the website only show one cannabinoid — CBD.

Another problematic observation, looking at the formula, is that it doesn’t contain enough caffeine to give you an energy boost (25 mg/serving). The added vitamins (except for B12), glucuronolactone, and resveratrol also have dismal potencies in this formula, while vitamin B12 has 500% of your daily dose.

We’ll get into all of this in more detail. Let’s first have a quick look at the pros and cons of the Energy CBD Spray.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
  • Includes ingredients to increase energy
  • Spray bottle delivery method
  • Organic claim without certification
  • False full-spectrum claim
  • Incomplete third-party lab testing
  • Doses of other supplements are negligible

Key Features & Benefits

1. Ingredients Designed To Increase Energy

While we’re not convinced the doses of the other ingredients included in this formula for energy-boosting are effective, the overall idea was off to a great start.

CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for supporting the body’s ability to maintain homeostasis (balance). This is how CBD can contribute to a wide range of health benefits. We love when companies combine CBD with other therapeutic compounds to target the effects of CBD.

2. Spray Bottle

You’ll find many CBD oils in dropper bottles — one of the features that make this product unique is the spray bottle applicator for directly administering the product beneath the tongue, where there’s a permeable membrane that can deliver active compounds into the bloodstream. Six sprays are said to deliver a daily dose (1 mL).

About the Company: All Natural Way

All Natural Way is a Florida-based company with a mission to offer plant-based remedies to “undo the hazardous effects of chemically charged pharmaceutical drugs.” The founders, German Espitia and Lee Lefkowitz, set out to do this in 2014 with a range of creams, sublingual oils, and sprays, highlighting the benefits of CBD.

According to their website, one of their unique features is their hemp farms in Colombia. The hemp is grown in optimum temperatures and nourished with mountain springs — all supervised by genetic experts to monitor the growth of the plants.

All Natural Way also claims to work with an expert team of scientists in collaboration with the Universidad Equina De Colombia for medicinal cannabis research, led by Dr. Juan Restrepo.

While this certainly sounds idealistic, some things don’t add up for us here.

For starters, the United States is home to plenty of high-quality hemp farms. We’d feel more confident about ANW sourcing hemp outside the US if it had organic certifications and complete third-party testing to verify the hemp had safe growing and processing conditions.

Second — We couldn’t find a “Universidad Equina De Colombia.” Equina translates to horse, which we don’t think has much to do with cannabis research — just an odd finding that makes us reconsider the integrity of the brand.

Who Should Use All Natural Way’s Energy CBD Spray?

All Natural Way markets itself as an alternative solution to chemical pharmaceuticals: “All Natural Way CBD Energy Spray works on eliminating the high dependence on chemically infused drugs and brings about a natural revolution of change and sustainability.”

The CBD Energy Spray promises to increase energy levels affected by low blood pressure and nutritional deficiencies. If you’re suffering from a vitamin B12 deficiency, then this product might be for you — but you can find vitamin B supplements at your local pharmacy and health food store for a fraction of the price.

All Natural Way over exaggerates the potential benefits of its products, which is highly irresponsible in the space of health and wellness.

Before you stop any medication or add CBD alongside other treatments, please consult with your doctor.

Price/Value

The Energy Spray retails for $69.99 and contains 500 mg of CBD, which breaks down to about $0.13 per mg. This is well within the average asking price for a product like this if you can overlook the odd aspects of this product and brand.

Like the fact, it claims to use full-spectrum CBD, when it only has CBD isolate — full-spectrum extracts tend to cost more.

And then we have the part where All Natural Way says it tests its hemp and extract for quality, but there aren’t any results available (not even after we’ve emailed the company).

The final aspect of why we don’t think the price is justified here is in the formula — the ingredients are there, but in negligible amounts that don’t make sense alongside the CBD dose.

CBD Potency

With a potency of only 16.7 mg/mL, we consider this a medium potency level. This isn’t a bad thing, given this is an energizing formula. Too much CBD can actually make you feel sleepy.

The real star of the show for the energizing benefits should be the caffeine supplements, and CBD is the backup player that regulates your mood and helps you avoid the caffeine crash. A low to medium potency is reasonable in this formula.

Hemp Source

We’re curious as to why a Florida-based CBD company that only sells its product within the United States buys hemp from Colombia — if it’s not for the cheaper labor costs.

Frankly, we’re not buying the story about hemp crops nourished by pristine mountain spring water and All Natural Way’s collaboration with a university, especially when our emails for organic certifications and complete lab testing go unanswered.

We would feel more confident about the CBD extract used if All Natural Way were more transparent about its sourcing and quality control methods. Until then, the hemp source is a mystery to us.

Purposes & Uses

If it’s your first time using a CBD supplement, All Natural Way instructs to start with a small dose and work your way up.

All Natural Way recommends you simply spray this formula up to six times (for a 1 mL dose) directly beneath the tongue to allow for fast absorption into the bloodstream. And it’s recommended as a daily supplement.

Formula & Ingredients

In this section, we dive a little bit deeper into what makes this formula energizing. We’ve listed out the active ingredients below along with the amount delivered in each dose (six sprays or 1 mL).

We’ll start with our favorite ingredient.

CBD Isolate — 16.7 mg

On the website, All Natural Way says it uses full-spectrum CBD isolate, which “consists of all cannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids and a negligible amount of THC. Whole plant extract makes CBD more effective.”

Full-spectrum CBD extracts do deliver more benefits and have the added benefit of a better taste, thanks to the preserved terpenes. According to the third-party lab result posted, this contains CBD isolate, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just lacks the benefits of the entourage effect you get from the whole range of phytonutrients.

As we briefly touched on earlier, CBD doesn’t exactly have energizing effects. Still, it can be used in this formula to prevent caffeine crashes and maintain an uplifted mood, which will make you feel naturally more energized.

Natural Caffeine Extract — 5 mg Green Tea and 20 mg Green Coffee Beans

These are the primary ingredients that should provide a boost in energy and increased mental alertness. Except for the 25 mg of caffeine, the extract is like having two sips of coffee. In most of the research that investigates the benefits of caffeine supplementation, the dose ranges between 120 – 300 mg of the active ingredient, chlorogenic acid.

We don’t recommend you reach a higher dose of caffeine extract by taking more of this supplement, as you’ll be effectively increasing your CBD dose, which may lead to potential side-effects.

Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin)  — 30 mcg

The supplement facts on the label say one serving is 500% of your daily B12 dose — but don’t be alarmed. Vitamin B12 is well tolerated in high doses and is considered safe. Anything your body doesn’t use passes through urine.

B12 has many functions in the body from DNA production and maintenance of your nerve and blood cells. While most American meals are rich in B12 (found in meat and dairy), people on plant-based diets can find themselves deficient in the essential vitamin, making them feel fatigued. This is where likely most of the energy-boosting properties of this formula come from and only people experiencing a B12 deficiency may notice the results.

Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene) — 625 IU

You can find beta-carotene in fruits and veggies, but it’s also made in labs for oral supplements. It’s known for its potent antioxidant properties and used to treat a wide range of diseases like macular degeneration, asthma, and osteoporosis — not a whole lot to do with energy-boosting.

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) — 50 IU

This vitamin helps you absorb calcium, and it has an important role in how the body uses calcium. Also known as the “sunshine vitamin,” the human body produces cholecalciferol in the skin by converting cholesterol from UV exposure. People who are deficient in D3 will take a D3 supplement around a 400 IU dose.

Again, we’re not too sure what this vitamin has to do with increasing energy levels in this formula unless you’re vitamin D deficient, in which case you will feel symptoms of fatigue.

Vitamin E (D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate) — 4 IU

The recommended daily dose of vitamin E is 22.4 IU, and it’s considered safe in most healthy humans. Vitamin E is required for maintaining the function of vital organs and it’s also a powerful antioxidant. We didn’t see a mention for increasing energy levels unless of course, you’re also deficient in this vitamin.

Glucuronolactone — 12.5 mg

The body naturally produces glucuronolactone, and it’s a precursor to ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Glucuronolactone is where All Natural Way gets its “detoxifying” lingo in this product’s use. Glucuronolactone combines with toxins and converts it into a water-soluble compound excreted through urine. It’s commonly found in energy drinks to help the body process the large caffeine intake, but it doesn’t have known energy lifting effects itself.

Resveratrol — 0.3 mg

Resveratrol is a longevity supplement, known to behave similarly to antioxidants to help reverse signs of aging. However, the studies on the benefits of resveratrol monitor use of up to 1500 mg, which makes the 0.3 mg in this formula look insignificant.

Now that we’ve had a look at the main active ingredients in this “energizing” spray, you can draw your own conclusions to whether or not you think you’ll get your money’s worth from a CBD supplement claiming to increase energy.

If nutritional deficiencies are your main concern for your lack of energy, you’re better off spending that $69.99 on a well-rounded multivitamin. But if you want a CBD product that has effective energy-boosting and uplifting compounds, there are other great options.

All Natural Way’s Shipping & Return Policy

All Natural Way only ships within the United States with UPS and USPS. They accept returns within 30 days, as long as they’re unopened. But you’ll need to cover the cost of shipping the product back.

Before you go ahead and mail your product back for a refund, contact All Natural Way first. We didn’t have much luck connecting with their team, so it may prove to be difficult to get your money back.

Final Verdict: Your Money’s Better Spent Elsewhere

This product and company doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to us, which is unfortunate because their products sound so promising.

We love when a brand combines CBD with other active compounds to create a more targeted treatment or supplement. However, there’s nothing exciting about this CBD Energy Spray.

First off, CBD does not have known energy-lifting benefits, and there’s not enough caffeine in this product to give the “boost” for in a product named “Energy Spray.” At best, this supplement may help you feel energized if you have a vitamin B deficiency — it has 500% of your daily value.

For the asking price of $69.99, you should get yourself a decent multivitamin if that’s what you feel like is giving you a lack of energy, or reach for a CBD product combined with a reasonable amount of caffeine.
