All Natural Way CBD Face Cream

All Natural Way calls this product a “spa-like experience.” The CBD Face Cream contains 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD along with skin-nourishing ingredients, such as jojoba seed, vitamin E, and meadow seed oil to address inflamed skin and restore a natural glow.

We didn’t find this product all too impressive. While the rich, cooling cream had a nice texture, we couldn’t justify the $59.95 price point from a brand with a blatant lack of hemp sourcing transparency and overall inattention to detail.

Price/Value 1/5

The price of this face cream breaks down to roughly $0.29/mg of CBD, which sits at a reasonably average retail price for topical CBD. However, we’re not exactly sure this product contains everything it says it does.

All Natural Way doesn’t have a third-party lab test for this product that shows the cannabinoid profile (for extract type) or the potency. We’ve come across ANW products that say its full-spectrum, when the lab report shows only CBD present.

On top of that, the hemp source is a mystery — no organic certifications or complete contamination reports. When CBD is the star of the ingredient list, why is ANW being so elusive when it comes to proving its quality?

CBD Potency 4/5

Assuming that the CBD Face Cream does have 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD in the 30 mL bottle, it has a potency of 7 mg/mL, which is decent for a daily facial moisturizer. It’s not intended to treat pain or high-grade inflammation, so a CBD potency of 7 mg/mL along with skin-conditioning ingredients is reasonable.

Hemp Source 1/5

The story goes, All Natural Way sources its organic hemp from Colombian farms outside Medellin. The crops are grown in optimal temperatures and watered with mountain springs. The entire operation from seed to extraction is overseen by a team of scientists and geneticists, who also work on medical cannabis research for a Colombian University.

It’s a good story, if it were true.

All Natural Way couldn’t provide any organic certifications, lacked complete third-party lab tests to show the extract was free from pesticides, heavy metals, and solvents, and we couldn’t find the university ANW claims to work with.

Purpose/Uses 4/5

We’ll give it to All Natural Way here for the purpose of this cream. It does contain skin-nourishing ingredients with a reasonable CBD potency (if it actually contains what it says) to address dryness and minor skin inflammation in a sanitary pump-bottle.

Product Variations 2/5

The CBD Face Cream is only available in one size (30 mL), strength (200 mg), and natural scent. It’s one of two in All Natural Way’s collection of CBD topical formulas.

Formulation/Ingredients 3/5

For a brand that touts itself as being a more natural way to approach health concerns, it could have been more creative with the ingredient list. Instead of formulating a petroleum-based cream, made from a highly refined oil rigging byproduct, it could have used a more sustainable and less processed cream base.

Other than that, the formula has a creamy texture and cooling sensation that makes it a suitable, gentle everyday facial moisturizer.

All Natural Way CBD Face Cream Review

Overview: CBD Face Cream

According to the product description, this face cream contains 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD and skin-nourishing oils to help “eliminate the high dependence on chemically infused cosmetics that can damage the delicate tissues of your face skin.”

This 30 mL of “spa-treatment in a bottle” will set you back $59.95.

There are a number of things we find strange about the company, which makes us skeptical of its products.

For one, All Natural Way sources its hemp from Colombia and claims to work with an expert team of scientists in collaboration with Universidad Equina de Colombia for hemp and medicinal cannabis research — only this school doesn’t exist (we’ll get more into this later).

Now, back to the cream itself.

It lacks a Certificate of Analysis that shows the cannabinoid content and profile — most of All Natural Way’s products that say it has full-spectrum CBD only had CBD isolate. Without this lab result, there’s no way to verify this product even contains 200 mg of CBD.

While $59.95 isn’t out of the range for luxury skincare moisturizers, brands in this price range specialize in skincare and have built a reputation around it. All we’re saying here is that if you have skincare concerns and are looking for a high-quality, natural-based skin solution, you’re better off shopping with skincare lines rather than CBD brands that also have a face cream.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
  • Independently tested for contaminants
  • Contains skin-nourishing ingredients for a nice cream consistency
  • Unknown cannabinoid content or potency
  • Incomplete contamination testing
  • Expensive

Key Features & Benefits

1. Third-Party Tested For Bacteria

Interestingly, this is the only product on All Natural Way’s website that has a contaminant report on its CBD extract. The analysis conducted by Green Scientific Labs says the extract passes tests for E. coli, Salmonella, Aspergillus, yeast and mold, aerobic bacteria, coliform, and Enterobacteriaceae.

While contaminant testing for bacteria is important, we consider this Certificate of Analysis incomplete. There’s no document that proves the extract was tested for cannabinoid profile (extract type) and potency, residual solvents (from extraction process), or that the crops were free from pesticides and heavy metals (a key indicator for hemp source quality).

We’ve reached out to All Natural Way about this on several occasions, but our emails have gone unanswered.

2. Skin-Nourishing Ingredients

As a face moisturizer, you’d expect skin softening and hydrating ingredients. According to the ingredient list, this formula contains jojoba seed oil, shea butter, meadow seed oil, and vitamin E in a petroleum jelly base — which helps to lock moisture into the skin.

About the Company: All Natural Way

As we briefly touched on in the overview, this company has a strange story when we did a little digging beyond the website copy.

The Florida-based company was founded in 2014 by entrepreneurs, German Espitia and Lee Lefkowitz with a mission to bring natural, plant-based remedies to a world consumed by chemical pharmaceuticals.

The company apparently has a dedicated research team of expert scientists and genetic engineers guiding every stage of product development. Its hemp is organic and comes from Colombia, where the crops grow in optimal weather conditions and watered with mountain springs. While this certainly sounds ideal, we’re not convinced it’s factual.

We would feel more confident about its hemp sourcing if All Natural Way was more transparent about the quality and manufacturing process — it lacks any organic certifications and complete third-party testing.

Having reviewed All Natural Way’s products, we’ve also found that the “pharmacist-formulated products” aren’t the most practical applications for what they’re marketed for. While all the beneficial ingredients might be there — CBD, botanical extracts, vitamins — aside from the CBD, the additional ingredients are in negligible quantities.

On top of this, we couldn’t find a “Universidad Equina De Colombia” that ANW claims to work with for cannabis research. All these strange discrepancies lead us to question the overall integrity of the brand.

Who Should Use All Natural Way’s CBD Face Cream?

This product, along with the other All Natural Way’s products, is marketed to shift its customers to more natural-based remedies rather than chemical-based cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

The CBD Face Cream is a moisturizer that’s said to smooth and hydrate skin prone to breakouts with the help of CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties.

If you’re specifically looking for a CBD-based face cream purely for cosmetic purposes, and don’t mind the questionable integrity of the company, lack of third-party testing, and steep price tag, then you might like this product.

Price/Value

It’s difficult to assess the value of a CBD product when you’re not entirely sure what you’re getting in the bottle. All Natural Way says it contains 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD, but there aren’t any test results provided to prove it, and we’ve been duped by All Natural Way before.

Let’s assume that the bottle indeed contains what it says. To get a simplified metric to compare prices across different CBD brands, we calculate the cost per mg of CBD. Of course, there are other things to take into account for pricing, such as hemp quality, testing, certificates, and additional ingredients, but we’ll set that aside for now.

The price per mg of CBD for the All Natural Way face cream is $0.29/mg — which is well within the average price range for creams of this nature on the market ($0.26 – $0.36/mg).

The problem is, All Natural Way hasn’t convinced us that it’s worthy of that price tag — we don’t actually know how much CBD is in the bottle, the extract type (full-spectrum is generally more expensive), and the hemp source is a complete mystery.

There are plenty of other CBD face creams on the market at this price range that ticks all the boxes that All Natural Way is missing here.

CBD Potency

Again, if we’re trusting that this face cream contains the CBD strength and extract type listed on the bottle, then this has a reasonably decent potency for a daily face cream at 7 mg/mL of full-spectrum CBD extract.

Full-spectrum extract is more potent in comparison to CBD isolate extracts because it contains the full range of cannabinoids and terpenes from the hemp plant, which all work in synergy to produce greater effects than CBD alone can do.

One of the problems we often come across in CBD topicals is that they often don’t contain enough CBD to provide any anti-inflammatory or pain-relieving benefits to the applied area. For some context, if you’re looking for a cream that has pain-relieving properties, we recommend products with a potency of at least 8 mg/mL — though, we’ve recommended products with less if it includes other therapeutic compounds.

This cream isn’t designed to manage pain — rather, it’s a daily moisturizer that addresses acne-prone, inflamed skin. Whether the bottle actually contains 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD, well, your guess is as good as ours.

Hemp Source

The quality of hemp is why you’d pay up to $59.95 for a face cream from a CBD brand, so the company has to nail this.

We don’t understand why an American-based company that only sells within the United States is importing its hemp from Medellin, Colombia, if not for the cheaper costs — these savings certainly aren’t passed down to the customer at $0.29/mg retail.

The US is quickly becoming a top hemp producer and has some of the highest quality standards in agriculture.

It’s not that we have a problem with Colombian-grown hemp — in fact, there are excellent hemp farms in Colombia — it’s that there’s a lack of transparency here. There are no certifications to substantiate the organic claim, and it lacks complete third-party lab testing to ensure there are no contaminants in the extract.

Contaminants such as pesticides and heavy metals from the farming along with residual solvents and bacteria from processing affect the quality of the CBD extract and its ability to deliver health benefits.

The lab test posted on the product page only shares the report for bacteria contamination, and it passes, but this is only a fraction of the picture we need to trust this hemp source. We’ve reached out to All Natural Way for additional tests, but we’ve never received a response.

Purposes & Uses

The pump action bottle is the ideal packaging for skin creams because it has less exposure to environmental contaminants that can cause bacteria to grow in the product. The CBD Face Cream is a daily facial moisturizer and is suited for hydrating and calming irritated skin.

Formula & Ingredients

Petrolatum, a.k.a petroleum jelly, is listed as the second ingredient in this formula, after purified water. It sits on top of the skin to create a protective barrier to hold moisture on the skin. While there’s nothing wrong with petroleum jelly-based skin products — petroleum jelly is highly moisturizing and protective — it’s not exactly the most “natural” ingredient.

It’s made from highly processing wax at the bottom of oil rigs to remove any traces of carcinogenic material. If you’re looking for an environmentally-friendly, CBD face cream, this isn’t it.

From a brand called “All Natural Way,” with a mission to package the power of natural botanicals as an alternative to highly chemical processes, this ingredient list doesn’t align with these values.

Other than that, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, vitamin E, meadow seed oil, and horsetail kelp are excellent skin conditioning ingredients, which is why you’ll find them in many skincare formulas.

The cream has a cooling sensation to the skin, which we found refreshing — but is it worth $60? For this price point, we’ll have to pass.

All Natural Way Shipping & Return Policy

All Natural Way only ships to customers living in the United States with UPS and USPS.

You have 30 days upon receiving your package to request an exchange or refund on unopened or unused products. However, you are responsible for return shipping fees. Before you send off your merchandise for a refund or exchange, you’ll need to contact the company to give them a heads up.

We didn’t find the All Natural Way team very responsive, so it may be challenging to get ahold of customer service.

Final Verdict: Not Worth The $60 Price Tag

We’re sure some of you may enjoy the creamy, cooling texture as a daily moisturizer, but we’re not convinced it’s worth the $59.95 price tag.

When shopping for skincare with a CBD brand, you want to know you’re paying for quality CBD extract, and that’s the mystery with this brand. There are no organic certifications, and it has incomplete third-party testing — plus, we’re not even sure there’s 200 mg of full-spectrum CBD in the bottle.

If you’re looking for a cream to manage problematic, acne-prone skin, your money is better spent with a company that specializes with skincare rather than a CBD brand that has one facial cream with a bit of CBD in it.
