CBD Life UK’s Aqua Drops is the company’s first and only water-soluble product in its fairly large arsenal of CBD products currently on offer.
Available in only one strength option (400 mg), this product is said to be a far more effective way of consuming CBD due to its superior absorption rate and, by extension, its increased bioavailability within the body.
If you’re scratching your head over these terms; don’t panic. This comprehensive review will cover everything you need to know about the company and its CBD Aqua Drops.
The price of this product accurately reflects its value.
At £39.95 (£0.10 per mg of CBD) for a 400 mg water-soluble product that includes a full-spectrum hemp extract and abundance of CBD and cannabidiolic acid (CBDa), as well as other all-natural ingredients — this product is very well priced for what you get.
At a potency of 40 mg of CBD per mL, this product provides you with a powerful way of consuming CBD — however, potency isn’t just about how much CBD is in each mL.
As we’ll explore in more depth later on in this review, water-soluble products are said to absorb into the body better than standard oil-based CBD products.
CBD Life UK gets its hemp from all over the world. Rather than placing the emphasis on where the hemp comes from, the team focuses purely on the quality of the hemp.
This brand has a very strict vetting process when sourcing its hemp and only selects crops that tick all the boxes.
With the formula containing mostly full-spectrum hemp extract and water, alongside three main terpenoids and a handful of other soluble ingredients, these Aqua Drops are exactly what CBD Life UK advertises — a non-oil CBD extract with high absorption.
Further, the hemp extract contains both CBD and CBDa (cannabidiolic acid). As we’ll learn later on in this review, research has shown that CBDa may help alleviate signs of inflammation in the body.
This product only comes in one variation — there are no additional flavors, potencies, or bottle sizes currently available.
Although the strength of this product covers a wide range, we’d like to see more flavor options or bottle sizes for this product to receive full-points in this category.
Considering the other CBD oils available from CBD Life UK customers generally have plenty of options to choose from to custom their CBD intake according to individual preferences.
These CBD drops are made with a water-soluble formula (hence the “Aqua” part of the name), and an array of hemp-derived terpenes.
Although the formula is fairly standard, the use of bioavailable water-soluble CBD and synergistic terpenes makes this formula better than a standard CBD oil.
Founded in London, England in 2015, CBD Life UK has built up a solid reputation within the CBD industry, naming itself “the finest purveyor of cannabidiol (CBD) oils in the UK” whilst curating “only the very best collection of CBD products”.
The company places a lot of importance on its partnership with the Cannabis Trades Association UK (CTA UK), as well as being one of its founding members.
The CTA UK is a cannabis-centric trade association made up of a multitude of different UK and European hemp and cannabis-related companies and organizations “working with all sectors of the hemp and cannabis industry to promote good practice, provide practical advice and ensure consumers of legal cannabis and hemp products have access to top quality information”.
For a water-soluble product that contains 400 mg full-spectrum hemp extract with an abundance of both CBD and CBDa, this product is surprisingly well-priced and won’t blow a massive hole in your bank account.
Priced at £39.95 (£0.10 per mg of CBD), we can’t fault CBD Life UK’s pricing structure here — the only thing letting this product down slightly is the small 10 mL bottle size and no option to purchase it in bulk at a discounted price.

Aqua Drops (CBD + CBDA) – 400 mg | £39.95 | 400 mg | £0.10 |
Due to its water-soluble technology which boosts absorption and bioavailability within the body, this product at 400 mg of full-spectrum CBD (40 mg of CBD per mL) is particularly potent.
As we mentioned previously, the difference between standard oils and water-soluble is the latter promotes better absorption.
Therefore, the strength of this product is much higher than regular CBD oil products — at least in theory.

CBD Life UK isn’t forthcoming with where it sources its hemp — nowhere on its website does it mention any specific location.
This is quite strange and not commonly found in the CBD industry. Most CBD companies will at least detail where the hemp actually comes from, so for a company with a close connection with the Cannabis Trades Association UK, we’re surprised to see no hemp source disclosed.
As we mentioned earlier, we managed to get in touch with a customer service representative and he was more than happy to disclose CBD Life UK’s hemp source.
The company gets its full-spectrum hemp extract from Eastern Europe — mainly Lithuania. The broad-spectrum/isolate hemp extract is sourced from the US but no exact location was specified.
We’d ideally like to see this information available to the public — it builds trust between the company and its customers by being as transparent as possible. We’re surprised to have had such a hard time finding this information considering the company claims to be one of the founding members of the Cannabis Trades Association UK — which promotes industry transparency.
One of the more interesting uses for this product comes from the additional CBDa in the hemp extract.
CBDa is considered an important but lesser-known cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp. It’s the precursor acid that becomes CBD when exposed to heat. Within the body, CBDA has an inhibitory effect on cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), a naturally-occurring enzyme that produces prostaglandins after an infection or injury, which causes the area to become painful and inflamed [3,4].
This is a key process in the inflammatory process — so by blocking this action, CBDa is thought to inhibit inflammation throughout the body.
CBD Life UK uses a full-spectrum hemp extract alongside a variety of ingredients and terpenes to create an all-natural water-soluble product at a reasonable price.
As mentioned above, the full-spectrum hemp extract is abundant in both CBD and CBDa — the lab report shows 376 mg (3,76%) of CBD and just under 100 mg of CBDa.
Unfortunately, due to the test results only showing the cannabinoid profile (or, rather, the number of cannabinoids present in the extract), we can’t comment on the overall purity of the product.
We hope this is rectified in the future.
CBD Life UK offers free shipping on all domestic orders in the UK over £75. International shipping is also an option but it’s recommended that you know your country’s CBD importation and possession laws before ordering.
The company offers you with a 14-day money-back guarantee, which is common amongst UK and European CBD companies.
If you return a product unopened, you’ll be subject to a restocking fee which will be deducted from your total refund amount.
If your product is either faulty, damaged, or defective, all claims must be made within 72 hours — the company asks you to contact its customer service team with full details prior to sending the faulty product back.
For a water-based product with a full-spectrum hemp extract abundant in both CBD and CBDa, £39.95 is a pretty awesome deal — though it’s worth pointing out that it only comes in a small 10 mL bottle.
We’re also very happy with the company testing its products using independent third-party laboratories and making them publicly-available — this is something seemingly more apparent amongst US and Canadian companies than in the UK and European ones.
That said, we see no publicly-available test results for contaminants such as heavy metals, residual solvents, or mycotoxins. This isn’t to say CBD Like UK hasn’t conducted these tests, however — we just find it strange that they’re not made available to the public.
With all things considered, this product looks great on paper and has all the right things included in the formula. The water-solubility aspect is a fantastic selling-point and the price is very reasonable, especially if you’re on a budget.
