Best CBD Company Reviews: Top CBD Oil Brands & Manufacturers [2022]

Organabus CBD Dab Wax

Organabus regularly scores low ratings across the board for its lack of transparency, poor customer service, and low-potency products. Unfortunately, this wax is no different. With so many other CBD brands on the market, we think your money is better spent on a brand that puts a little more care into its products and customer relationships.

Price/Value 2/5

This wax comes at a price of around $0.17 per milligram of CBD,  which is high for this category of products. Usually, you can expect to pay closer to $0.10 per milligram for a product with better transparency about the product quality than this.

CBD Potency 3/5

In the realm of concentrates, waxes aren’t the most potent. You can get up to 99% potency with crystals. The Organabus wax contains 32% CBD by weight in a 1 g container. However, being a concentrate, a little goes a long way — It’s not suitable for the faint of heart.

Hemp Source 1/5

Organabus fails to mention a hemp source on its website but claims its hemp comes from organic industrial hemp. We looked around on its Facebook page, where the brand has mentioned sourcing its hemp from Europe but no country is specified.

We requested third-party lab tests because Organabus doesn’t post this information publically, but the lab tests only show cannabinoid potency and that it’s THC-free. Without complete lab testing, there’s no way to tell the quality of its hemp source or the final product.

Purpose/Uses 4/5

Organabus doesn’t have a product description or instructions on how to use this product. Waxes are designed to be smoked in either a dab rig or a vaporizer.

Product Variations 3/5

This CBD wax is only available in the 1 g container. No additional flavors or larger quantities are available for purchase. This is fairly standard for a product like this. We’d like to see waxes that have higher concentrations of CBD or terpenes flavors to enhance the smoking experience.

Formulation/Ingredients 3/5

Organabus doesn’t do anything special when it comes to formulating this CBD Dab Wax. Additionally, the company doesn’t provide its extraction methods or complete third-party lab testing to show the final wax product is free from any harmful solvents from the extraction process.

Organabus CBD Dab Wax Review

Concentrates can come in the form of oils such as the popular Rick Simpson oil, crystals, shatter, budder, crumble, and wax — all referring to the textures of the concentrates. CBD wax or commonly referred to as ‘dabs’ are high potency extracts from the cannabis plant.

Rest assured, concentrates are very safe while extremely potent. To consume these products, you need the right equipment. It can be an intimidating premise, but once you’re familiar with the process of dabbing, it’s easy to understand why concentrates are quickly becoming a popular choice.

A factor in dabbing’s popularity is due to its ability to provide instant relief, especially for those with severe symptoms, including chronic pain, severe anxiety, and sleep disorders.

Does this describe what you’re looking for in your CBD product? If so, continue reading our review on Organabus’ CBD Dab Wax to decide whether these concentrates are right for you.

Overview: CBD Dab Wax

Concentrates aren’t the most beginner-friendly CBD offering. As the name implies, it’s an extremely potent form of CBD. In this 1 g container, you’re receiving 300 mg of CBD.

It can be difficult to dose wax for consistent results every time accurately, and because of its high potency, beginners may find themselves over-doing it.

For the best results, dab waxes require extra equipment. Beginners may not want to invest in dab rigs or adapted vaporizers right off the bat. Waxes are smoking products, so it’s not appropriate for those under the age of 18 or those sensitive to smoke inhalation.

Here’s an example of a dab rig set up. It’s an adapted bong for wax. The glass bowl is heated with a torch where it vaporizes the wax upon contact.

Smoking concentrates are ideal for those looking for instant relief to alleviate severe symptoms.

It’s recommended to smoke smaller amounts and work your way up as it’s easy to do more than required accidentally. You can never take back what you’ve burned, but you can always smoke more if necessary.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
  • 0% THC
  • Provides immediate effects
  • An economical method of ingestion
  • Limited third-party test results
  • Requires additional equipment to ingest
  • Measuring consistent dosage can be difficult

Key Features & Benefits

1.THC-Free

This concentrate won’t give you the psychoactive high associated with cannabis use. According to the third-party lab results we requested, this wax is THC free.

While THC may have therapeutic benefits, there are reasons some might avoid it, including THC sensitivities, drug testing, or its legal status.

2. Provides Fast-Acting Effects

The effects of smoking concentrates are almost instantaneous. When you inhale CBD, it’s absorbed in the alveoli of the lungs where it enters the bloodstream. Eating CBD, on the other hand, has a different process. Up to 40% of the active compound can be broken down by your liver and gut before it enters the bloodstream. The effects are longer-lasting, but the onset can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

About The Company: Organabus

Organabus is best known for its selection of vape liquids, but it also offers capsules, gummies, and CBD concentrates. The company is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has been in the business since 2010.

The brand’s tagline is “Organic CBD Made From Industrial Grown Hemp.” Other than this, there’s no mention of its hemp source anywhere on the website. After some digging on its Facebook page, Organabus says it sources its hemp from Europe.

When we evaluate Organabus’ hemp sourcing and quality assurance, it doesn’t pass. The brand doesn’t seem concerned with providing the answers we’re looking for when it comes to product quality. We’ve reached out to the customer service team on multiple occasions for complete third-party lab testing, but it either comes back as incomplete or unanswered.

Because of this, we don’t recommend most of Organabus’ products. The CBD industry is notorious for this lack of transparency, and we feel your money and time is better spent with companies contributing to change this.

Who Should Consider Using CBD Dab Wax?

While vaping CBD e-liquids can provide fast-acting benefits, sometimes it’s not enough of a kick to help you find relief from intense symptoms. It’s worth considering dab waxes in this situation.

If you like the discretion of vaporizing your CBD and want to save counter space from a dab rig set-up, you can often find wax adaptors for some vaporizers and make the switch.

Since waxes are intended for smoking, it’s not ideal for minors or those experiencing lung irritation.

Price/Value

Organabus’ CBD Dab Wax is $49.99 for a 1g container of 300 mg of CBD.

Breaking down the costs, this works out to roughly $0.17 per mg of CBD. It lacks the option for bulk pricing if you’re looking to buy a supplier larger than 1g.

CBD Potency

According to the Certificate of Analysis, the Organabus’ CBD Dab Wax has a concentration of 32%. This is typical for wax concentrates because of the natural esters and fats that contribute to the consistency and texture of the product.

If you’re looking for something stronger, we recommend looking into CBD crystals. Crystals typically have a concentration of 99% CBD. Crystals are also more versatile — it can be smoked, eaten, and added to topical formulas to boost its CBD content.

Hemp Source

Organabus claims to use organic CBD from industrially grown hemp — however, it doesn’t disclose the location of its hemp source or provide organic certifications on the website.

We did a bit of snooping on Organabus’ Facebook page where customers were also curious about the company’s hemp sourcing and third-party certifications.

Organabus says it sources its hemp from farms in Europe (but doesn’t specify where in Europe), and they will privately message the Certificate of Analysis if requested.

When we reached out to the team about lab results, they only sent back the cannabinoid potency and profile. The wax is THC-free (as advertised) and contains 32% CBD. Without full third-party testing, there’s no way of knowing if these hemp crops are organic or if they’re free from contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides, or herbicides.

Formula/Ingredients

All we know about this formulation is that the wax contains 32% CBD, and it’s THC-free.

Organabus doesn’t provide any details regarding the extraction method used for this concentrate. We find this problematic because waxes and other concentrates are typically made with a solvent, and if the manufacturer did a sloppy job, the harmful residues could remain in the end product.

Purpose/Uses

Organabus assumes its customers know what they’re looking for when they visit the website. You won’t find any product descriptions or instructions for use with any of its products.

Dab waxes are reasonably straight forward. These concentrates are for smoking, and you can use a dab rig or a specialized vaporizer for concentrates to achieve this.

Product Options & Flavors

What you see is what you get with Organabus’ CBD Dab Wax. There is only one size — 1 g with 32% CBD — and only the one natural flavor option. We’ve seen other companies offer smoking concentrates in a variety of terpene flavors, which make dabbing a more enjoyable experience.

Organabus’ Shipping & Return Policy

Organabus ships internationally and offers a $5 flat shipping fee across the US.

I couldn’t find a return policy on the Organabus website, so we emailed customer service. The customer service rep informed me that Organabus does not accept returns but will make exchanges on a case-by-case basis.

Final Verdict: Cheap Quality Doesn’t Justify Upfront Costs

We can’t recommend Organabus’s wax because of its lack of transparency. In this highly unregulated CBD industry, we’re looking to hold brands accountable to their claims and quality of their products.

There are plenty of other brands out there with high-quality CBD waxes at a fair price with the answers we’re looking for in terms of ingredients and manufacturing.

Although the company will email third-party test results when requested, it’s limited to cannabinoid profile and potency. Without any testing conducted beyond that, there’s no way to verify it’s free from contaminants or if the hemp source is as organic.

For those searching for alternatives, we recommend Pure CBD Exchange’s CBD Wax. The company provides full third-party test results, detailed product descriptions, and competitive prices.
