The Koi Naturals CBD Pet spray is one of our preferred ways to use CBD with our pets. Why? Because it makes dosing your animal with their CBD extremely simple — you can spray it directly into their mouth, or onto their food. You won’t need to measure any oils either, just count the number of sprays to reach the recommended dose.
This spray uses Koi Naturals Prizm extract — which is about as close to a full-spectrum extract as you can get while also ensuring there’s no THC leftover in the product — which is not recommended to be used with animals.
Overall this is a top-notch product, and one of our favorites for use with pets. Of course, you can also use this oil yourself.

This spray comes at a great value for a pet product — especially one as niche as a spray. Pet products usually come at a markup for being a specialty product, but Koi Naturals decided to price it the same as the rest of their CBD oil products.
CBD Potency 5/5
For a pet product, this is a very potent one because you have to keep in mind animals require smaller doses than humans do. At 500 mg per bottle — or 8.3 mg/mL — this is a great dose for covering a wide range of animal sizes and weights.
For larger animals, you’ll need to use a few sprays, while small dogs and cats can often get away with just one spray.

Koi Naturals is extremely transparent about where and how their hemp is sourced, cultivated and extracted. They have all their products third-party tested with certificates of analysis clearly posted on their website, confirming everything is free from THC, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals.
Although this is some very high-end hemp, the company has yet to source their hemp from certified organic farmers.

This spray is perfect for use with fussy dogs and cats. It makes giving your animal CBD so simple — you can spray it directly in their mouth, or directly onto their food. The spray nozzle is set to spray exactly 1 mL of liquid — which makes it incredibly easy to calculate the dose.
We’re surprised more companies aren’t using this format for their pet CBD oils.

In the future, we hope to see different potencies offered, as well as some different flavors specifically designed for pets like chicken, beef, or fish.

This spray is made with Koi Naturals Prizm CBD extract — which is the companies proprietary blend of cannabinoids and hemp terpenes mixed together to emulate full-spectrum oils. The company does this to mimic the effects of full-spectrum CBD while ensuring 0% THC content in their oils.
We would consider this a broad-spectrum CBD extract for this reason, which is perfect for use with dogs and cats that are going to be more sensitive to the psychoactive THC than humans.

All of their raw hemp material is sourced from farms located in southern Colorado that guarantee all their products are THC, solvent, and pesticide-free.

In terms of CBD pet products —this one is fairly potent. Small dogs and cats only need very small doses of CBD (less than 10 mg), while larger dogs need quite a bit more.
Koi Naturals placed this pet spray at the 8.3 mg dose for every milliliter of oil used, which gives it the most versatility in terms of dose. This allows this product to be used for animals both large and small.
Big dogs may need about 2 or 3 pumps worth of oil, while smaller dogs and cats need no more than one.

All of Koi Naturals hemp is sourced from farms in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. They come 3rd party tested, and use CO2 extraction. The only issue we have is they don’t provide a full ingredients list for this product on their website.
Product Variations
While there is only one variation of their CBD pet spray —it is a high potency spray that comes in a large 60 mL bottle.
Sprays like this aren’t yet a standard — Koi is one of the leaders in this space, but we hope to see a lot more of this form of pet oil entering the market in the next few years.
For Koi, we hope to see flavored items catered specifically to cats and dogs, and would love to see some different potency options for this product.
Final Verdict: Innovative Product But Lacks Full List of Ingredients
Koi Naturals offers customers and their beloved pets access to quality broad-spectrum CBD products that are CO2 extracted, 3rd party tested, and innovative.
Although this product is simply made from the companies signature Koi Prizm CBD oil placed in a different bottle (spray bottle), we feel as though this product really hit the mark. It’s one of the first pet sprays we’ve seen, and it’s made giving CBD to our dogs and cats much easier overall.
This is one of our highest-rated products for pets despite the general lack of product options. We really hope to see more like this from Koi in the coming years, so stay tuned.
