Hempura Review
Hempura is based in the United Kingdom and carries a small selection of full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD products. You’ll find tinctures, capsules, topicals, vape oils, and edibles on the company website — and most of these items are available in multiple CBD potencies.
The company currently ships to more than 20 countries in Europe. If you live within the United Kingdom, Hempura also offers free 2-day expedited shipping.
Many of Hempura’s products are less expensive than the competition. Every product in the company’s catalog costs £ 0.10 or less per mg of CBD — making it an attractive option for people looking to save money.
However, Hempura’s product line is fairly limited. Most of its CBD extracts are available in multiple potencies but there are no options for package size or flavor.
Overall, Hempura is a reputable company with high-quality products for a reasonable price — but if you’re looking for a large selection, you may want to shop elsewhere.
Mission / Charity5/5
Hempura CBD strives to offer a world-class customer experience by delivering reliable quality and service. The company has partnered with the Cannabis Trade Association and The Vegan Society to promote good practices within the industry. Hempura claims that its entire business is built around trust, safety, and compliance.
Hemp Source4/5
The company sources all of its hemp from Eastern Europe but doesn’t specify any particular country. Hempura claims that its hemp is organic, non-GMO, and free from pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. However, the company only supplies the test results for potency — it’ll need to provide more thorough third-party testing for full points here.
Product Range4/5
Hempura has a concise yet diverse product line. You’ll find tinctures, topicals, capsules, vape oils, and edibles — with two or three products in each category. For full marks here, Hempura CBD could add more flavors or bottle sizes as there are currently limited options in that regard.
Innovation3/5
Hempura’s products are in-line with what we expect from most CBD companies. The company doesn’t offer anything new in the way of innovative formulas, extraction methods, or products. As one of the top UK CBD providers, we’d like to see Hempura focus more on being a leader in innovation.
Safety4/5
Hempura provides detailed information on all of its products and helpful articles on how to use CBD safely. All of the included ingredients appear to be safe for human use. As we mentioned above, Hempura doesn’t provide the test results for potentially harmful contaminants (heavy metals, solvents, etc.). For full marks here, the company should provide complete test results.
Customer Service4/5
When we reached out to Hempura for more information, it’s customer service team was responsive, helpful, and friendly. The company offers a 14-day return policy for all of its products — but only if they’re unopened and unused.
Hempura hopes to
position itself as a global leader in the CBD industry by building trust with
its customers and focusing on safety and quality CBD extracts.
The company is registered with the Cannabis Trades Association — an organization that holds cannabis companies accountable to their promises promotes good practices and offers advice to customers.
Hempura also has a
relationship with The Vegan Society and guarantees that all of its products
(with the exception of its white chocolates) are entirely vegan-friendly, free
from animal ingredients, not tested on animals, and non-GMO.
Every Hempura product
comes with a unique batch code number that the customer can use to see the test
results for the hemp used in their CBD extracts. The test results can be viewed
directly on the company website.
Lastly, Hempura
offers a ton of useful information on its website. The company has several blog
posts, news articles, and even a free helpful guide to get you started in the
world of CBD.
Where Does Hempura Source Its Hemp?
Hempura claims to source all of its hemp from Eastern Europe but doesn’t explicitly state where. The company states that all of its hemp is organic, non-GMO, and free from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other contaminants.
The company offers a
database of lab tests. You can search the database using the unique barcode on
each bottle of product you buy to see the results for that particular batch of
product. Unfortunately, many of these tests lack the full-range of tests. Most
of the tests the company offers on the website look at the cannabinoid profile
of the extract only — missing tests include pesticides, heavy metals,
microbial contaminants, and residual solvents.
Products Offered By Hempura
Hempura has a concise
lineup that covers several different CBD delivery methods. You’ll find oils,
capsules, vape oils, topicals, and edibles. The company also offers
full-spectrum and broad-spectrum extracts.
The company specifies
that its full-spectrum products may contain cannabinoids like CBD, CBC, CBDA,
CBDV, CBG, CBGV, CBT, CBV, and more. The full-spectrum oils are dark in color
and have a potent, earthy taste.
Hempura’s CBD oils
are only available in 10 mL bottle sizes. However, the smaller bottle sizes
mean the oils are fairly potent — ranging from 25 – 100 mg/mL.
The broad-spectrum
refined extracts are made using the full-spectrum original extract but they
further processed to remove unnecessary compounds. As a result, these oils are
a golden color and may have reduced cannabinoid and terpene profiles.
These oils are
designed for people looking for a low-THC product — but Hempura maintains that
there may still be trace amounts of THC.
Like the
full-spectrum options, the broad-spectrum oils are only available in the 10 mL
bottle size.
Hempura CBD capsules
are only available in one size, potency, and formula. Each package contains 30
capsules, each made with 10 mg of full-spectrum CBD extract.
Hempura recommends
choosing its capsules if you don’t like the strong taste associated with CBD,
or those who are looking for an easy way to get your dose on the go.
Like the CBD oils
listed above, Hempura’s vape oils are made with the broad-spectrum refined
extracts. These vape oils therefore have a reduced spectrum of cannabinoids —
including THC.
The vape oils are
citrus-flavored and free from any artificial ingredients. They’re also only
available in the 10 mL bottle size. The vape oils have a smaller potency range
— you’ll find CBD concentrations from 10 – 50 mg/mL.
Hempura’s Topical
Cannabis Cream is made with 250 or 500 mg of broad-spectrum refined CBD
extract. The company suggests using it to soothe, repair, or restore your skin.
Each bottle contains 50 mL of cream and comes with an easy-to-use pump top that
dispenses an even amount of CBD every time.
Lastly, Hempura
offers white chocolate made with broad-spectrum CBD. The chocolates come in
packs of twenty and are available in three potencies — you can choose between
10, 25, or 50 mg of CBD per piece.
Hempura recommends placing the chocolate under your tongue and allow it to melt for best results.
What Does Hempura Do Well?
1.
Informative Website
As a resource of
information, Hempura is well ahead of much of the competition. The company
offers a free guide to CBD to better prepare you for your purchase. Hempura
also has several articles, news, and a CBD dosage calculator all posted for
free on its website — we’ve only seen a small number of companies who offer
this many resources to help their customers succeed with CBD.
2. Inexpensive
Hempura’s products
are fairly priced and often less expensive than competitors. Every single
product in the company’s catalog costs £0.10 or less per mg of CBD — it’s not
uncommon to see competitors’ CBD extracts priced upwards of £0.20 per mg of
CBD. If you’re on a tight budget, Hempura may be one of the less expensive
options in the European market. If you’re in the UK, Hempura also offers free
2-day shipping which reduces the overall cost even further.
3. Registered with The Cannabis Trades Association UK & The Vegan
Society
Hempura’s
partnerships with The Cannabis Trades Association and The Vegan Society
demonstrate the company’s commitment to promoting good practices and quality
products within the industry. These organizations hold companies accountable to
their promises and the environment — by registering with these organizations,
Hempura exhibits a pledge of quality and responsible business practices to its
customers.
Where Could Hempura Improve?
1. Limited Selection of Package/Bottle Sizes
All of Hempura’s
products are only available in one size. The bottle sizes for its oils are
quite small as well at only 10 mL each. The limited selection of sizes may make
it difficult to find a product that works for your dosing regimen. However, as
a result of the smaller sizes, all of Hempura’s products tend to be on the
mid-high range of the potency spectrum.
If Hempura were to
add more sizes to its selection, it would make it easier for customers to find
a product that matches their particular schedule.
2. Lack of Additional Beneficial Ingredients
None of Hempura’s products contain any additional ingredients to complement the effects of CBD. Many other companies are taking advantage of other herbs or essential oils to boost the therapeutic potential of their CBD extracts. Instead, Hempura has opted for a CBD extract-only formula — which isn’t always a bad thing but we’d like to see a little more thought put into Hempura’s formulas.
Safety
& Third-Party Testing
Hempura offers up-to-date third-party batch test results for all of its products. However, these tests don’t show the results for heavy metals, pesticides, solvents, or other potentially harmful materials.
On the bright side,
the company has one of the most in-depth FAQ’s we’ve seen in our research so
far. Hempura also has a free informational guide to CBD that it will send to
you free of charge.
Overall, there
doesn’t appear to be any dangerous ingredients in Hempura’s products but the
company should offer more comprehensive third-party test results.
Hempura Shipping & Return Policy
Hempura offers a 14-day return policy on unopened and unused products. Unfortunately, opened products cannot be returned.
At this time, the
company ships to more than 20 countries including the United Kingdom, Austria,
Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland,
Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
Final Verdict: Inexpensive
Company With a Small Selection
Hempura is a solid
choice for people mainly looking to save on on their CBD extracts. However, the
company has a smaller selection than many of its competitors — which may make
it difficult to find the products you’re looking for.
All of Hempura’s
products cost £0.10 or less per mg of CBD — which puts the company comfortably
on the less expensive end in regard to CBD. Additionally, all of its products
are made from organic, non-GMO hemp so Hempura isn’t cutting corners on
quality.
The downside is that
it currently has a limited range of options. It’s tinctures and vape oils are
only available in 10 mL bottles and there are no flavor choices. Although you
have the choice of several CBD potencies, it would be good to see a few other flavors
or package sizes.
If your primary concern is to save money, we’d recommend
choosing Hempura — as long as you can find an item that suits your goals and
CBD regimen.
