Drops are an easy way to add CBD into your pet’s diet by including it in food or water. The Doggy Be Good Oil Drops is the only full-spectrum product in the Green Garden Gold (GGG) product range for pets.
This is an excellent full-spectrum oil for small-medium sized pets, but this product could improve by increasing its potency options.
You’re not getting anything unique or innovative with this product, but it is a reasonably priced full-spectrum CBD supplement for dogs at $0.14 per mg of CBD in a 30 mL bottle.
This is a medium potency CBD supplement for small-medium pets (between 10 – 20 lbs) at 7.10 mg of CBD per mL. We’ll give the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops an extra point for using full-spectrum CBD in the formula. Because full-spectrum oils contain a diverse cannabinoid and terpene range, it can produce greater benefits can CBD isolates can do on its own. It’s essentially more potent because of this.
Green Garden Gold uses CO2 extracted CBD oil from certified organic hemp crops in Colorado. We just wish GGG would provide full third-party test results to prove the quality of its hemp source.
Green Garden Gold’s lack of dosing information and instructions for use results in a low rating. Dosing pets with CBD should be taken with care — it’s a shame this isn’t provided in any substantial depth on the website.
There are no variations for the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops in flavor, bottle size, or potency. CBD oils are a product that could stand to improve by increasing its variety for large dogs and for pet owners who want to purchase CBD oils in larger quantities.
The formula is simple — full-spectrum hemp extract in MCT coconut oil. The Doggy Be Good Oil gets a bonus point for using a full-spectrum extract. Overall, there’s nothing innovative or unique about this product.
As pet owners, we want what’s best for our furry companions. Hemp-derived CBD products have the potential to improve the quality of your pet’s life in many different ways.
All mammals, including our dogs, have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS acts as a modulator for other systems to help maintain balance in the sleep-wake cycle, stress-response, pain-receptors, and even endocrine (hormone) function.
If your pet is experiencing anxiety, joint pain, muscle aches, or mood disorders, they may stand to benefit from the therapeutic benefits CBD has to offer.
Green Garden Gold offers a wide range of products for both humans and pets. We’ll cover all the details you need to know about the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops to help you decide whether this product will make a valuable addition to your pets’ health routine.
The Doggy Be Good Oil Drops are only available in one size and potency — 213 mg of CBD in a 30 mL bottle. According to Green Garden Gold, this should last 60-90 days (depending on the frequency of use).
This oil is a simple formula of two ingredients, MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) coconut oil and the full-spectrum hemp extract.
The oil’s targeted purpose is unclear. GGG ran into trouble with the FDA in 2016 — as many CBD brands experienced at the time — for inaccurate/ fraudulent language on its website. These violations have since been cleared up, but how strong is GGG’s integrity today?

This is GGG’s only full-spectrum CBD extract offering for pets. Full-spectrum extracts are ideal for treating health conditions because it contains hemp’s natural range of cannabinoids.
THC, CBD, CBC, and CBG are just a few of over a hundred different cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. When taken together, it can produce compounding effects, stronger than CBD can deliver on its own. This phenomenon is called the entourage effect.
The hemp source is a key indicator of the final product’s overall quality. Green Garden Gold sources its hemp from a USDA-Certified Organic Farm. This means the crops are grown without harmful pesticides and abide by strict clean farming practices.
Green Garden Gold (GGG) has a large variety of CBD products for pets and humans — over 20 different products with potency and flavor variations.
In 2016, GGG was reprimanded by the FDA for making fraudulent claims about its CBD products to cure and treat diseases in the form of product descriptions, blog posts, and fake testimonials. You can read the open letter from the FDA online.
GGG has since cleaned up its language on the website. It often tip-toes around the effects of CBD on its website to avoid any issues with the FDA. However, GGG still has a long way to go to redeem its brand name. This includes better customer service response and complete third-party testing.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, dogs have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) too. CBD interacts with the ECS to produce health benefits on many different bodily systems to maintain homeostasis (balance).
The versatility of CBD oil drops is not limited to their benefits. These can be administered directly into a pet’s mouth, onto a porous treat — like bread or a homemade treat — and even added to water.
With the right doses, CBD has been shown to alleviate:
Green Garden Gold does not provide any specific uses for the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops. Instead, GGG makes vague promises like, “A great way to help your dog feel healthier”.
The vague use of language can be a result of the trouble GGG ran into with the FDA for making grandeur health claims for its products.
At $29.99 per 30 mL bottle, these drops are reasonably priced. We look at a lot of different CBD products, and the industry average for quality products of this potency lies anywhere between $25-$35 a bottle.
The best way to compare the price of CBD products is to determine the cost per mg of CBD. Keep in mind that some formulas include other ingredients that may drive the price of the overall product.

Doggy Be Good Oil Drops (30 mL) | $29.99 | 213 mg | $0.14 |

We find it irresponsible when a company doesn’t include a dosing guide for its products. Our pets can’t let us know when something feels wrong, so it’s important to dose CBD correctly to avoid negative experiences.
This is the only information on dosing the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops GGG provides on the product page:
“For dogs under 20 pounds start with two to three drops at a time, three to four times per day. For dogs over 20 pounds start with three to four drops at a time, three to four times per day.”
Dogs come in all shapes and sizes. Under 20 and over 20 lbs with only 2 drops of variation isn’t a helpful guide for CBD use.
Let’s quickly do the math to sort out how to properly dose this product.
The standard dropper container will measure out 1 mL per full dropper of liquid. There’s 213 mg of CBD in the 30 mL bottle, which would mean there is 7.10 mg of CBD per mL.
The general rule of thumb to follow is to start your pet on a low dose and increase the doses gradually.
You can increase your dose every few days until you’ve noticed the desired effects in your pet — improved mood, reduced stress, and anxiety, relief from pain, and better joint mobility.
Dog Size | Low Dose | Moderate Dose | Strong Dose |
Large (over 50 lbs) | 12 ml – 25 ml | 25 ml – 35 ml | 50 ml – 60 ml |
Medium – Large (30 – 50 lbs) | 7.5 ml – 12.5 ml | 15 ml – 25 ml | 30 ml – 50 ml |
Medium – Small (10 – 30) | 2.5 ml – 7.5 ml | 5 ml – 15 ml | 10 ml – 30 ml |
Small (5-10 lbs) | 1.25 ml – 2.5 ml | 2.5 ml – 5 ml | 5 ml – 10 ml |
Now that we have a better idea of the oil’s potency, we can determine if this product can deliver a strong dose for small dogs at a reasonable value.
Green Garden Gold sources its hemp from Colorado, where agricultural standards are stringent, resulting in high-quality hemp crops.
This hemp is also certified organic by USDA standards, so it’s unlikely to have come into contact with hazardous materials such as chemical pesticides or heavy metals in the soil — however, GGG doesn’t provide the Certificate of Analysis (CoAs) to verify this. The only CoA provided is the product’s cannabinoid profile and potency.
Ideally, GGG would share the following other third-party tests to prove its hemp quality:
GGG doesn’t specify a use for this product. We assume this is because of its mishap with the FDA in 2016.
CBD oils are a versatile product. You can add the oil to food, water, or directly into your pet’s mouth.
We advise you to consult with your vet before you begin to treat your pet’s symptoms or illnesses with high doses of CBD oil.
This product has a short and simple ingredient list — A full-spectrum hemp extract in an MCT coconut oil base.
MCT oil is a purified form of saturated fatty acids. It has a high solubility to which the hemp extract binds, increasing the absorption rate of the user. Additionally, coconut oil makes an excellent carrier oil to improve the shelf life of the product.
If you’re looking to make a big order with GGG (over $100), you’re eligible for free shipping in the US. If you live outside the states, orders are shipped at a flat rate of $12.
Unopened products can be returned with a free shipping slip from Green Garden Gold after contacting customer service. However, opened products will only be refunded if it’s approved by a customer service rep, and the shipping cost will come at your own expense.
Oils are a convenient way to add CBD to your pet’s health regimen because of their versatility — you can add drops to your pet’s favorite food or dilute it in water.
Overall, the Doggy Be Good Oil Drops is a decent full-spectrum CBD oil for small-medium dogs. We just wish GGG had put more effort into a dosing guide with instructions for use, as it’s not very clear on the website.
There isn’t anything innovative or unique about this product. If you’re looking for a medium-potency CBD oil for your small dog and are comfortable determining your dog’s doses, this is a good option.
