CBDistillery offers a fantastic range of CBD topicals engineered to potentially provide localized and pinpointed relief from aches and pains, as well as soothing dermatological issues such as acne and other bothersome skin issues.
We’re happy to see such a wide range of products provided by the company, especially when each product has an all-natural formulation that’s designed to “bring all the natural ingredients of CBD straight to your skin”, as well as your lips.
The salve and the cream options provide very good value for money; only costing you a mere $0.12 per mg for all-natural, fairly potent formulas.
These CBD topicals are highly potent. CBDistillery packs 500 mg of CBD into a small 1 oz container. You should only need a small amount of product to get a long-lasting experience.
CBDistillery’s hemp is sourced domestically in the U.S. and is manufactured in Colorado – thus far, there is no indication as to the where specifically the hemp is grown.
The company claims that its hemp is non-GMO and pesticide-free, but hasn’t yet acquired the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Organic stamp of approval.
The high potency and overall formulation of these topicals, especially the cream and salve, allow users the option to try two different products with differing ingredients.
Both CBDol salve and the CBDefine cream are useful as a daily face moisturizing cream that will help combat any additional inflammation or soreness – the former includes more ingredients than the latter, so if you’re looking for a more basic topical then the CBDefine option is a better option.
The lip balm’s formulation is perfect for chapped or broken lips; it’s equally as perfect for daily moisturizing.
The decision to offer both a CBD cream and CBD salve with different ingredients was a smart move by CBDistillery. Though the CBDol product has additional ingredients added in, the CBDefine product (as specified in our Purposes/Uses description above) is still a product that’s formulated better than others on the market, despite being the more basic of the two.
Each topical’s formula is specifically designed to alleviate surface-level skin complaints, as well as potentially combating physical symptoms such as joint pain and muscle soreness.
The inclusion of coconut oil in both the CBDol and CBDefine products is always appreciated, as it has naturally-occurring omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to promote anti-inflammation and to target soreness.
CBDistillery was founded in 2016 by a small group of Colorado natives with an idea to combat the overpriced and vastly oversaturated CBD market.
With “the people’s best interests in mind”, the company believes that “people have a right to high-quality, fairly priced, U.S. grown, hemp-derived CBD products”, with a focus on keeping in line with the FDA’s guidelines, as well as the company’s own third-party testing standards.
CBDistillery’s CBDol contains 500 mg of CBD within a 1 oz container.
In addition to CBD, the product is made up of several other notable ingredients, including camphor, tea tree oil, and aloe, each with their own skin health benefits:
This salve also boasts lavender, frankincense, and peppermint as main ingredients; though these mostly affect the smell of the product.
You can purchase the CBDol 500 mg CBD Salve from the CBDistillery website for $60.00.
Much like CBDol, this product contains 500 mg of CBD in a 1 oz container but with fewer ingredients. In fact, this product is a very stripped-down version of the aforementioned salve that’s geared towards primarily combating pain and inflammation.
The product contains both tea tree oil and aloe with the addition of sunflower, almond, and apricot oil.
Notably, sunflower oil, which is rich in vitamin E and nutrients, has been known to promote healthy skin and battle skin inflammation. Similarly, almond oil shares the same vitamin E property with the added bonus of helping your skin retain moisture to fight cracked, inflamed skin.
You can purchase the CBDefine 500 mg CBD Cream from the CBDistillery website for $60.00.
CBDistillery claims that this lip balm is designed to be a “restorative and moisturizing product for your lips” that “combines all the benefits of CBD with natural ingredients to smooth, moisturize, restore, and protect your chapped lips from the natural drying elements”.
Alongside the CBD, this product contains shea butter, cocoa butter, and beeswax that work in tandem to prevent inflammation and soreness.
You can purchase the 25 mg CBD Lip Balm from the CBDistillery website for $9.99.
These CBD topicals may be a good choice for people suffering from a variety of skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, sunburns, acne, and rashes. For those who have chronic joint and muscle pains, CBD topicals could potentially provide some relief.
These CBD topicals are priced very competitively; in fact, it’s not uncommon to see CBD topicals from other companies market their products at $0.20 to $0.30 per mg of CBD, so you can see that you’re getting both an effective and cost-efficient product.
All of these CBD topicals sit comfortably on the high end of the CBD potency spectrum. Many CBD topicals are closer to the 100 mg to 150 mg point. At 300 – 1000 mg per container, these are a decent solution for more severe symptoms.

According to CBDistillery’s General FAQ page, the company is a Colorado local company and all of its products are manufactured in Colorado – however, the source location isn’t specifically stated, only that it purchases the hemp domestically.
The company also states here that it uses non-GMO, organic, and pesticide-free industrial hemp grown outdoors for all its CBD extracts but hasn’t yet been given the USDA Certified Organic stamp of approval.
Each product comes with third-party lab test results from Massachusetts & Maine based ProVerde Laboratories and locally-based Botanacor Laboratories, who both specialize in cannabis and hemp testing.
The most obvious use of a topical is the application to the skin to potentially treat skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and inflammation.
Though CBD topicals are widely thought to only treat issues relating to the immediate surface of the skin, tests on animals have shown promise in CBD being delivered into the bloodstream through the skin layers and its cells, which could potentially treat chronic arthritis, muscle pain, and joint inflammation.
CBDistillery offers three different CBD topicals, but there isn’t a ton of variation between the products. The salve and cream both contain 500 mg of CBD in a 1 oz container. Additionally, the cream mostly seems to be a stripped-down version of the salve.
Each of CBDistillery’s topicals is formulated to improve and nourish the skin, as well as potentially providing localized CBD treatment to inflamed or acne-prone skin.
The combination of olive oil and coconut oil is incredibly beneficial to the skin – coconut oil, especially, is rich in vital antioxidants that further enhance olive oil’s ability to mimic the skin’s natural sebum, leaving it feeling smooth and soft.
When these oils are used in conjunction with CBD, it is known to promote quicker absorption into the skin.
The lip balm – though not containing either coconut or olive oil – does include castor seed oil, which is rich in a monosaturated fatty acid called ricinoleic acid. This particular fatty acid is known to target inflammation and heal the skin.

CBDistillery states that all packages are shipped out using UPS within 48 hours after payment is processed – orders typically take 5-7 days to arrive after your order has been shipped out of the company’s offices.
Unfortunately, international shipping isn’t an option.
The company also offers a 7-day return policy for unopened products and will take 7-10 days for the refund to be processed.
Overall, it’s a yes from us because these CBD topicals provide a lot of value at a great price. At $0.12 per mg of CBD, both the salve and cream are a reliable addition to your tool belt.
The cream worked well for relieving chronic pains in my thumb. 500 mg is more than enough to treat localized pains for muscles and joints. The effects could be felt pretty quickly and lasted for a few hours.
The container is pretty small, however — so be sure to use only as much as you need.
The lip balm is a bit of a novelty, and I didn’t notice much of a difference from regular products off of the shelf.
In conclusion, if you’re on a budget and suffering from localized muscle and joint pains, or skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, CBDistillery is a good choice for CBD topicals. For more general symptoms such as back pain, however, consider a CBD topical in a larger container.
