Cannuka’s CBD Nourishing Body Cream is an all-over cosmetic product made with Cannuka’s proprietary formula — CBD and Manuka honey. This cocktail of skin-loving ingredients makes for a nourishing, hydrating body cream.
The Nourishing Body Cream might not be appropriate for those looking for pain relief from topical CBD but is an excellent product for those who are curious about adding CBD to their beauty regime.
The value, in terms of CBD, is average. However, we usually calculate this in terms of therapeutic value versus the price. Even for a cosmetic product, the price point isn’t too expensive for the amount of CBD included.
The CBD potency is low, with only 1.04 mg/mL. Therefore, we don’t recommend this as a topical CBD product.
The product is advertised as a cosmetic product, and the low CBD potency might, therefore, be negligible.
Cannuka’s CBD isolate is from a Colorado-based wholesale CBD manufacturer. However, we only found this out after some investigation as Cannuka doesn’t advertise this on their website. Furthermore, it’s still a mystery what the hemp source is for the CBD isolate that’s used.
We tried to contact Cannuka to find out more about the hemp source, but the customer service team never replied to our emails.
The CBD Nourishing Body Cream is advertised as a cosmetic product, and we believe it adequately serves that purpose. It contains multiple ingredients that can be beneficial in the world of cosmetics, and for that, it’s totally in line with its purpose.
This is the only product of its kind in the Cannuka range. There are no variations on the CBD Nourishing Body Cream per se, but Cannuka stocks a whole range of cosmetic skin care products in general.
The ingredient list is formulated with skin hydration in mind. All of the ingredients make for a deeply nourishing body cream. It’s a shame that many surfactants and chemical emulsifiers are used, but that’s what makes this product more of a cream than a balm.
The highly revered skin treatments of cannabis and manuka honey come together in Cannuka’s products. The Cannuka range includes an array of different cosmetic products, all formulated with both CBD and Manuka honey.
Cannuka was founded by CBD lover and advocate, Michael Bumgarner and his wife, Kelly Bumgarner. Kelly’s expertise as a dermatologist formed the foundation of Cannuka’s formulas.
The CBD Nourishing Body Cream contains 100 mg CBD and a myriad of other ingredients that are good for the skin — like Manuka honey!
In this review, we’re checking out Cannuka’s CBD Nourishing Body Cream to see how it stacks up on CBD potency, value, and purpose of the application.
As the name of the product suggests, the CBD Nourishing Body Cream is an all-over body lotion with a creamy texture. Beeswax is used as a base, complemented with rosehip oil, hemp seed oil, grapeseed oil, and grapefruit extracts.
As mentioned, the body cream contains the proprietary recipe of CBD and Manuka honey, although the exact amount of Manuka honey is never indicated.
Included in the recipe is hyaluronic acid, one of the most hydrating substances on the planet. In fact, it’s produced by the skin in the human body, specifically for hydration.
Hyaluronic acid is extracted from rooster comb, the cartilaginous tissue of roosters that is rich with hyaluronic acid.
If it’s not derived from rooster comb, it is synthesized from a strain of the Streptococcus bacteria. There are concerns over the safety of using hyaluronic acid from another animal, and obvious concerns over extracting it from Streptococcus, a known pathogen. Cannuka doesn’t list where the hyaluronic acid comes from.
In comparison to other CBD products on the market, the CBD Nourishing Body Cream has extremely low CBD potency although the value for money isn’t wrong. Cannuka advertises this product as a cosmetic one, to reduce wrinkles and improve complexion.
Overall, the product is best used for cosmetic reasons and is appropriate for those who want a skincare routine with the added benefits of CBD. This product is not for reducing pain or for any other therapeutic effects of CBD.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the most hydrating substances on the planet for human skin. The human body produces its own for this exact purpose. Cannuka is proud of this ingredient, and it’s often an ingredient in higher-end cosmetic products. According to Cannuka, this ingredient helps to smooth and relax the skin, creating a brighter complexion with fewer lines and wrinkles.
There are cannabinoid receptors all over the skin, so there’s no doubt that CBD has benefits for all kinds of skin. Manuka honey is also a highly revered medicinal substance, but also has benefits for the skin. It balances skin pH and is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, keeping irritated skin healthier, too.
Cannuka comes straight out of Ohio, founded by Michael Bumgarner and his wife, Kelly. Michael Bumgarner is a self-proclaimed CBD lover. He collaborated with his wife, who brings her dermatology background to the company. Together, they created their proprietary formula: Manuka honey and CBD.
It’s worth mentioning that Cannuka’s products are a cosmetic rather than a therapeutic CBD range. The company may have some expertise in the topical application of CBD, but not in the therapeutic application of CBD.
Cannuka doesn’t provide any information about the source of its ingredients. However, after having a look at their certificate of analysis, it’s clear that they obtain their CBD isolate from Advanced Plant Processing, a Colorado CBD manufacturer. The Certificate of Analysis (CoA) takes place at the manufacturer, rather than by a third party.
Cannuka also doesn’t specify how much Manuka honey is included in the product. This makes it hard to assess value, even on a cosmetic level. Aside from that, the company’s “Our Story” page is just about the only information they provide about themselves.
As we said, Cannuka’s CBD Nourishing Body Cream is a cosmetic product. For that reason, this product serves no real purpose for those looking for the therapeutic value of topical CBD. However, it’s not a bad cosmetic product, and even CBD has cosmetic value.
This product is best for those seeking deeper skin hydration and a better complexion. The ingredient list is well suited for those who have dry skin and even mild skin irritations such as eczema or acne.
Even with only 100 mg CBD inside the bottle, the CBD Nourishing Body Cream is an average value. Unlike some of Cannuka’s other products, this one is not a complete wallet breaker. However, it is on the pricer end of body creams. The CBD and Manuka honey drive the price of this product.

Compared to therapeutic CBD topicals, Cannuka’s body cream has extremely low potency. However, we did say that this product wasn’t really a therapeutic one, but rather a cosmetic one. We don’t know how much CBD is enough for cosmetic purposes, but perhaps it’s just an addition for added benefits of CBD for the skin.

Cannuka CBD Nourishing Body Cream | 100 mg | 1.04 mg/mL | Low |
From the Certificate of Analysis, it’s clear that Cannuka’s CBD isolate is sourced from Advanced Plant Processing, a CBD isolat.e manufacturer in Colorado. However, Cannuka never mentions the hemp source of this CBD isolate, and neither does Advanced Plant Processing.
While the CBD isolate passes all the tests for residual solvents, pesticides, and heavy metals, the test is conducted at the place of manufacture (Advanced Plant Processing). This creates some concerns, as the most accurate and trustworthy results generally come from a third party.
The Cannuka CBD Nourishing Body Cream is exactly what it says it is. It is advertised as a cosmetic body cream, and we agree with that description. It is a generalized cosmetic product, made for use all over the body and with an ingredient list conducive to that.
While it has low CBD content, it’s never advertised as a medicinal product. Therefore, we don’t advise using it as a remedial product, but merely an addition to the beauty regime.
Key ingredients of Cannuka’s CBD Nourishing Body Cream include:
Overall, the recipe is conducive to skin health. Grapefruit extract is excellent for all kinds of skin conditions, especially dermatitis and eczema. Rosehip oil is well known to keep the skin soft and smooth, as well as to improve complexion. The same is true for hemp seed oil (rich in proteins), vitamin E and aloe vera.
Hyaluronic acid also features in this cream, which is especially beneficial for keeping dry skin hydrated. Aside from this, beeswax is a great natural base for the lotion.
For Cannuka to achieve the “creamy” texture of this lotion, a range of different emulsifiers and surfactants are used. Some of the chemicals used are also just preservatives. Cannuka doesn’t use this many chemical agents in all of their products, which suggests that they’ve included them to form the creamy, liquid texture of a lotion.
The only criticism of this formula is that they don’t mention how much Manuka honey is inside. This would give the customer some idea of the value of this product in terms of the proprietary formula.
Cannuka customers can return products they aren’t 100% satisfied with in exchange for a credit or a refund, depending on Cannuka’s customer service team. They decide, according to their Terms & Conditions, whether a customer is eligible for a refund or only a credit.
Damaged or defective goods can also be returned. This must also be done through their customer service team, which we know from experience to be unresponsive. So there’s no knowing how long that kind of service could take.
Cannuka ships worldwide on a country-by-country basis. There is a flat rate for shipping in the USA at $7.50, but customers can pay extra for an express shipping service. It can cost as much as $87 to ship overseas, but it varies from country to country.
Overall, this is actually one of Cannuka’s better products in terms of value and purpose. The formula is pretty much specific to this product, while they often repeat recipes for other products. Plus, for what it says it is, it doesn’t seem so bad.
The CBD Nourishing Body Cream is a cosmetic product with a twist (CBD). It isn’t made for therapeutic use, but they never advertise it that way, so in that way, the product is in line with the manifesto.
Not a bad body cream for beauty lovers who want to sample CBD!
