Best CBD Company Reviews: Top CBD Oil Brands & Manufacturers [2022]

Canna-Pet Advanced MaxCBD Liquid

Despite being established for over six years with a strong standing in the CBD market, Canna-Pet’s lack of transparency on where t sources its hemp or how much CBD is actually contained in each bottle is quite concerning.

Recommending a product, especially when its to do with health and well-being, is based on how open the company is about its practices; unfortunately, Canna-Pet isn’t as open as we’d like them to be. We recommend approaching this company with caution and perhaps opting for a company that offers more information on the products it sells.

Price/Value 2/5

Advanced MaxCBD Liquid has a starting sale price of $99.99. Containing 680 mg of CBD per bottle, the cost per mg of CBD works out in $0.15.

CBD Potency 1/5

Due to the fact that Canna-Pet hasn’t revealed the mg amount contained in each 10 mL bottle, it’s impossible to figure out each bottles potency. This is a major downside of Canna-Pet in general.

Hemp Source 3/5

Canna-Pet sources industrial hemp from licensed U.S. suppliers, which is organic, non-GMO, and free of contaminants, impurities, and pesticides.

Unfortunately, the company provides no form of COA (Certificate of Analysis) as evidence of these claims; instead, it provides a generic list of what’s been tested for and that the test was conducted by “independent laboratories”.

Purpose/Uses 2/5

While Canna-Pet can’t provide specific claims related to diseases or medical conditions, this hemp health supplement is more for dogs and horses. A lack of product information severely limits the use of these products.

Product Variations 2/5

Canna-Pet’s Advanced MaxCBD formula is available in 10 mL bottles. There are no flavor options.

Formula 2/5

This is where Canna-Pet fails.

The company claims to have produced this product with 100% organic hemp extract with no carrier oils or alcohol, which is commendable, but not backed up with any substantial proof. We’d like to see a more transparent formula and, equally, a more transparent ingredient list.

Canna-Pet: Advanced MaxCBD Liquid Review

Article By
Editorial Staff , last updated on November 16, 2021

Public interest in the prolific cannabidiol (CBD) industry and its ever-evolving arsenal of products has grown exponentially over the past couple of years.

Thousands of companies worldwide are chomping at the bit to grab a slice of the action by investing time and money into developing newer, more advanced products.

However, with the public interest and the subsequent hype that comes with it, some companies, unfortunately, see this as an opportunity to take advantage of customers who are new to CBD.

Canna-Pet claims to offer high-quality, life-enriching, and organic CBD pet products; yet we have a few doubts about how substantiated these claims are.

This review of Canna-Pet’s Advanced MaxCBD Liquids will tackle some of the concerns we have about this product. Read below to find out.

Overview: Advanced MaxCBD Liquid

Canna-Pet’s Advanced MaxCBD liquid is available in a 10 mL bottle. The company states that each bottle has a much higher level of CBD, terpenes, cannabinoids, and a faster rate of absorption. However, Canna-Pet offers no explanation for any of these statements.

Canna-Pet claims that it’s CBD pet products are some of the best currently on the market, but provides no third-party test results or proof of these claims. CBD pet products – especially ones designed to potentially alleviate physical, psychological, and physiological ailments – should be transparent in their third-party testing.

Grandiose claims and anecdotal testimonials from customers are all well and good, but without proper batch testing results from a third-party laboratory available for public viewing, it makes the claims are thin and not believable.

One major point of concern with these products is that the company says its MaxCBD liquid is highly concentrated (it says this several times on the product page) but doesn’t actually say how much CBD is in the bottle.

Another major point of concern is the company lists the ingredients as containing 100% hemp but doesn’t actually say what’s in the formula.

As a side note, despite the unsubstantiated and flimsy claims, the company’s instructional content is fairly comprehensive.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
  • Contains no alcohol or carrier oils
  • 0% THC
  • Easy to administer
  • Lack of third-party testing

Key Features and Benefits

1. Alcohol and Carrier Oil-Free

For those of you concerned about the alcohol content in other CBD oils, you can give Canna-Pet’s MaxCBD formula to your dogs worry-free. The company doesn’t use alcohol in any of its pet products.

2. 0% THC

We assume that these liquids contain 0% THC, so there’s no need to worry about your pet getting high from using Canna-Pet’s MaxCBD formula.

3. Easy to Administer

Canna-Pet suggests that these drops be administered directly into the mouth of your pet, ideally under their tongue for maximum effectiveness.

If your pet is particularly picky, you can also add it to your pet’s food.

Who Should Consider Using Advanced MaxCBD Liquid?

According to Canna-Pet, these CBD liquids can be administered to animals to promote an increase in their overall health and wellbeing.

With a higher concentration than its Advanced Formula capsules, these are made for animals in need of stronger doses to alleviate physical, psychological, or physiological symptoms.

Price/Value

From what we’ve observed, Advanced MaxCBD Liquid seems to have a perpetual sale price of $79.99 down from $99.99, but we’ll do a breakdown using full prices.

This is a high-concentration product housed in a 10 mL bottle. According to Canna-Pet, each bottle contains 300 drops. If you follow the company’s suggest doses, the bottle should last you roughly a month.

Breaking this down into price per drop rather than price per mg of CBD, we’re looking at $0.33 per drop or roughly $1.98 per day for small animals.

Depending on larger animals, or even horses, costs will rise significantly, which we’ll break down further below.

CBD Potency

Canna-Pet claims this is a highly concentrated CBD liquid, with 680 mg of CBD per bottle.

Whilst there is no Certificate of Analysis (COA) provided, the company does list the total amount of CBD on the product page and on the packaging.

Potency Breakdown of Canna-Pet Advanced MaxCBD Liquid

Product ImageProduct NameTotal CBD ContentTotal Concentration (mg/mL)Potency Level
Advance MaxHemp Liquid — 680 mg (10 mL)680 mg68 mg/mLHigh

The product is sufficiently potent for a pet liquid – the company believes that the high-potency is best suited for animals such as dogs and horses.

We’d advise some caution if you’re thinking about dosing smaller animals with this product as the potency may be too high.

Hemp Source

Canna-Pet claims that the industrial hemp it uses is sourced from licensed U.S. suppliers and is extracted using supercritical and subcritical CO2 extraction, but doesn’t state anything specific beyond that.

According to them, its hemp is organic, free of pesticides, impurities, and contaminants, and non-GMO, yet no official Certificate of Analysis (COA) is presented on the website.

Instead, a generic list of information is supplied to potential customers (as seen below).

Purpose/Uses

Due to the nature of the industry, Canna-Pet can’t make any claims to medical conditions or diseases that their products can help with, as this is a nutritional product and not considered a pharmaceutical.

However, going through the reviews left by users on their product page, these liquids could provide anxiety and pain relief, increase appetite and mood, or improve mobility.

Formula

The formula and ingredients information provided on Canna-Pet’s website is collected into one fairly generalized article – there are no specific ingredients or formulas attached to the product itself.

The most concerning aspect of Canna-Pet’s capsule range is that its claims are pretty unsubstantiated. The product testing information link provided isn’t an official document; instead, it’s a generic list of what has been tested with no concrete results supplied.

The company says that its products “employ proprietary processes to deliver as many of the CBDs, terpenes, and flavonoids as possible”, which is impressive, but there isn’t any other information regarding other ingredients contained in the product.

Shipping and Returns

Canna-Pet offers two shipping options: Standard First Class Mail and Priority Mail.

The company processes and ships all orders within one business day using US Postal Service; bulk orders over 15 items ship via US Ground and requires a signature confirmation upon arrival.

Holiday orders (Thanksgiving and the Christmas period) are said to take longer – usually one or two days later than estimated.

It’s worth noting that Canna-Pet does not ship to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.

They also have a 30-day money-back guarantee on all returns.

Final Verdict: Does This Even Contain CBD?

If you’ve already read our review on Canna-Pet’s Advanced Capsules, then you’ll be familiar with our stance on the company – Canna-Pet and its Advanced MaxCBD Liquids are not easy to recommend.

The Advanced MaxCBD Liquids provide almost no information regarding the ingredients or quality of the product.

This is especially strange because Canna-Pet takes pride in detailing the minimum values of crude protein and fats, and maximum values of crude fiber and ash, but doesn’t explain the importance these factors provide

People want to know about the cannabinoid content, which Canna-Pet fails to provide.

Product reviews provided by customers seem to note that this is an amazing product that has done wonders for their pets, but for us, the lack of information dilutes our trust in the company making us question its motives and company integrity.

Why would you support Canna-Pet when there are many other companies that are open and honest about its products?

Look into another company that provides the CBD content and third-party test results before giving your pet CBD.
