USDA certified organic hemp from Colorado
Diverse Product Range
Green Garden Gold is known for its wide variety of CBD offerings for both pets and humans — from capsules, oils, beauty serums, to topical treatments. We take a closer look at this Texas-based company to uncover its shady past with the FDA and determine if it has fully recovered its reputation with the products offered today.
This is how Green Garden Gold introduces itself on the About page “Top Rated National CBD company with a unique focus on wellness. Our goal is to foster health, for people today and future generations, by offering products that support a beneficial lifestyle for everyone.”
We’re not sure where this rating comes from, and CBD and wellness go hand-in-hand as a health supplement — there’s nothing unique about this. This section should really say, “GGG offers a massive range of low-quality CBD products at average prices for the uninformed CBD user.”
If this company does one thing right, it’s to source high-quality USDA certified organic hemp from Colorado. Colorado has some of the highest farming practice standards and is known to produce stellar hemp crops in the United States. It’s a shame the third-party lab results are incomplete, and the USDA certificate is from 2017.
When it comes to its product range, Green Garden Gold believes more is more. It carries capsules, treats, and oils for pets, and nearly every other CBD product you can think of for humans — face serums, MCT oil powders, salves, and gummies (to name a few). The oils are what GGG specializes in, and it offers several flavors and potencies to customize the CBD experience. The only variant usually missing in its products are high potency options.
Some of its products are innovative, we’re just not sure how effective they really are. For example, the Ketones+ formula is marketed as a weight-loss supplement with added CBD. Exogenous ketones may decrease the appetite and therefore, promote weight loss, but there isn’t substantial evidence CBD is known to help with this. For nearly $90 a container, it sounds to me like GGG is just cashing in on the ketogenic diet trend.
It’s irresponsible not to include dosing information on CBD supplements. We’ve found many of GGG’s products lacking in this. There are adverse side-effects to misdosing CBD, especially for pets. Moreover, we can’t find complete third-party lab tests anywhere on the website for its products.
GGG has a 30-day full refund return policy for unopened items. I’ve emailed customer service a number of times and asked for current USDA certificates and updated lab results before someone with a fake name answered me days later without any new updates. Overall, its customer service isn’t very impressive.
Based in Texas, Green Garden Gold (GGG) emerged in 2014. On its About page, it introduces itself as a “Top Rated National CBD company with a unique focus on wellness.”
We’re not sure where this national rating emerged from, and wellness-focused CBD companies are not a rare find — CBD is a health supplement, after all.
To add to that, Green Garden Gold has a bit of a controversial past.
In 2016, Green Garden Gold received a letter from the FDA acknowledging some fraudulent information listed on its website. This misinformation was found in the form of:
The fake testimonials, articles, and product descriptions claimed that CBD and — more specifically — Green Garden Gold’s CBD can cure or prevent diseases.
This is a big no-no in the industry. Let’s be clear — CBD does not cure or prevent disease. When the FDA got involved, these claims took a major toll on the company’s reputation.
Between running into trouble with the FDA, ambiguously named products, and missing third-party lab tests, we’re not thrilled about this company or its products.
Its marketing strategy wasn’t the smartest, but are its products of quality?

This is GGG’s line of full-spectrum CBD extract infused in MCT coconut oil for sublingual use. Most companies will offer an oil supplement because they’re simple to administer and cost-effective.
The Med Pac Oils come in four strengths (from 750 mg to 10,000 mg of CBD) and five flavors.
These oils are marketed as full-spectrum, yet they only contain trace amounts of maybe 4 other cannabinoids and there aren’t any lab tests to verify terpene content. If you’re looking for full-spectrum oils, I’d go elsewhere.

These capsules are intended for daily consumption and use MCT oil for a base inside of a soft gel shell. Capsules are ideal if you’re not a fan of sublingual oils or smoking CBD. It’s simple to dose consistently and offers long-lasting effects.
However, it’s not ideal if you need immediate relief — It can take anywhere from 30 – 90 minutes to feel the effects of capsules.

The name of this product is familiar, isn’t it? Panidiol™ sounds similar to the popular pain-relief medication, Panadol (acetaminophen). Don’t get too excited — this product doesn’t offer the same pain-relieving effects of Panadol, which makes the name of this product misleading.
With 15 mg per capsule, you’re not likely to receive high pain relief. However, it does include ingredients known to support joint health such as glucosamine and MSM.
The active non-CBD ingredients :
This product may have a misleading name, but the joint supporting ingredients do add value to CBD’s anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects.

This product comes in the same twist-top packaging as the Good Day Salve and has a higher hemp extract potency, but it still doesn’t deliver an effective dose for a topical formula marketed for pain relief.

Gummies are one of our favorite ways to supplement CBD. The doses are premeasured, gummies offer long-lasting effects, and taste delicious.
Green Garden Gold claims its gummies are a “healthy alternative to your typical high, fat high in carbohydrate junk foods”. This is just plain wrong and irresponsible as it promotes unhealthy diet habits.
We have two problems with this:
Just because a product contains CBD, does not make them healthy. The first ingredient is corn syrup — ironically, making this product a high carbohydrate junk food.

Dogs can benefit from the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of CBD too.

The Doggy Be Good Oil Drops is the only full-spectrum product in the pet line. It has 180 mg of CBD with MCT coconut oil in a 30 mL bottle. According to GGG, this is a two to three-month supply, depending on the frequency of use.
This product is fine for small to medium-sized pets, but it is on the pricey end for an average formula.

Pet treats make administering CBD to your pets easier because it’s already incorporated in food and pre-dosed for you.
Each treat is said to contain 2 mg of CBD. This dose is ideal for smaller pets, but you won’t get the best value if you have a large dog that requires big doses.
The Doggy Be Good CBD Oil Treats come in three formulas:

Informed CBD shoppers understand the importance of the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) conducted by third-party labs. It’s one of the first things to look at before purchasing a product.
Why is this important?
Reputable labs can verify the cannabinoid and terpene profile, potency, and hazardous materials the hemp may have come into contact with — hemp is a bioaccumulator. Hemp absorbs substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, and other toxins in the soil at a faster rate than it can break them down.
If the hemp source is compromised, the final product is likely to carry these same contaminants.
Sometimes, companies will cut costs by selling synthetic CBD which can be dangerous.
As you can see, reputable lab tests are very important — so don’t be afraid to ask for them.
The lab tests provided are incomplete or out-dated, and we’ve even found some products advertised as full-spectrum, not containing additional cannabinoids at all!
For example, the Med Pac CBD Oils, specifically the 4000 mg of CBD bottle, has a CoA from 2016! Moreover, there isn’t a significant amount of other cannabinoids (or terpenes) that make this extract a true full-spectrum, as advertised for the entourage effect.
Third-party lab tests are expensive, and it’s not mandatory in the industry — however, the serious CBD companies are investing in regular lab tests because they believe in product transparency with its customers. As savvy CBD consumers, you’d want to know what’s in your health supplement.
Lab tests should be conducted on every batch of products for quality control. The 4000 mg Med Pac Oil shows us GGG either don’t care to post its results regularly, or these bottles haven’t been moving off the shelves in over 2 years — both are equally problematic.
We consider a complete CoA to include the following reports:
If it does one thing well, it’s using a high-quality hemp source.
Hemp sourcing is one of the most critical processes in creating a high-quality product. If the hemp crops come into contact with contaminants such as heavy metals and pesticides, it will most likely end up in the finished product.
Green Garden Gold uses USDA certified organic hemp, grown and processed in Colorado —a state known for its high-quality hemp crops. It’s just a shame GGG doesn’t provide the third-party lab tests to verify any contamination levels.
We like when brands offer a variety of products. This allows customers to personalize their CBD experience as their CBD needs may change over time.
What GGG offers may be a bit excessive from beauty serums, muscle gels, dog capsules and treats, to oils and powders — It offers such a massive range with varying options for each product that the overall quality of each product suffers because of it.
Look for brands that specialize for the concerns you’re trying to solve. It might offer fewer products with different potencies and size options. However, it will often include other beneficial ingredients to better leverage the effects of CBD.
Green Garden Gold has a rewards points program where you can earn points with every:
Customers are rewarded with points that can go toward future purchases.
Where do we start?
We love when brands offer variety in its products, but too much variety can come at a cost. It’s difficult to maintain high standards across all products, and it’s evident with GGG.
Green Garden Gold has a long way to go to redeem itself from its dodgy past, and it can start with:
Free shipping is offered for orders over $100 in the US, and international shipping is available at a reasonable flat rate of $12.
Within 30 days after the initial purchase, you can request a free shipping slip from the GGG customer service for unopened products and receive a full refund. If the product is opened, GGG will consider a refund or exchange on a case-by-case basis and shipping will come at your expense.
The customer service offered by GGG is pretty standard and includes:
I’ve emailed multiple times asking for a current USDA organic certification and clarifications on the Certificate of Analysis provided for some of its products with a response three days later from Willy Workman.
He didn’t have a new certification or any additional information on the CoAs.
The slow response time and fake name show a lack of company transparency with its customers, and we’re not impressed.
We don’t recommend Green Garden Gold. It misses the mark on many vital things we look for in a reputable CBD company including mission, third-party lab tests, and customer service.
While we do enjoy seeing options in CBD products, it’s difficult for a brand to maintain its quality across the board. The products offered are subpar at best with marked-up price tags.
It seems that Green Garden Gold has not fully redeemed itself since being reprimanded by the FDA in 2016.
