Love CBD Review

The UK has recently seen a surge in the number of CBD companies stepping into the market to provide consumers with CBD products ranging from capsules, softgels, and edibles to e-liquids, oils, and skincare ranges.

Love CBD stands out from the pack with its limited but high-quality range of capsules, sprays, balms, and e-liquids. This is one of our top CBD UK-based CBD companies due to their strong attention to detail, simple and concise product lineup, and excellent product formulation.

Check out the rest of the review below for more on this established UK CBD company.

Mission/Charity 5/5

The Love CBD mission story is reflective of its products—simple and natural. What began as a passion project for the family-owned company led to the creation of one of the leading CBD providers in the UK.

While the company doesn’t participate with any local or foreign charities, it is one of the longest-standing members of the Cannabis Trades Association (CTA), which is the only cannabinoid centric trade association for Europe & the UK to promote ethical practices and practical advice within the industry.

Hemp Source 4/5

Love CBD uses full & broad-spectrum CBD (depending on the product) sourced from farms in Croatia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, which is commonplace amongst most CBD companies in the UK.

Very few (if any) CBD companies harvest their hemp in the UK.

Product Range 4/5

Love CBD offers four different products in varying potencies and formulas: capsules, sprays, balms, and e-liquids – this is a pretty limited line-up of products available. It would be great to see Love CBD expand into producing its own CBD oils or edibles in the near future.

The quality of its products, however, is very impressive.

Innovation 4/5

Love CBD isn’t doing anything revolutionary with its products. The real innovation the company is doing is regarding its push for ethical manufacturing practices in the CBD space.

We also found their array of CBD sprays to be fairly innovative as most companies don’t offer this type of product. We like the simplicity, and ease of use of a CBD spray — especially with pets.

Safety 5/5

As we’ll cover in more detail later on down below, the company’s third-party and, by extension, safety practices are seemingly at the forefront of its mind.

The company produces third-party test results for every product being sold, as well as comprehensive literature on what each product is and what’s actually in them – there’s also well put together video highlighting each products’ ideal dosage.

Customer Service 5/5

According to Trustpilot, the company has over 3,000+ reviews and a 5/5 star overall rating, which is amazing for a CBD company.

The company has a  reasonable return policy and is easy to get into direct contact with to address any questions, comments or concerns you may have.

About the Company: Love CBD

According to Love CBD’s About Us page, the company is a UK-based, “small family-run business located in Newmarket, Suffolk” founded in 2014 with owner Dan Culbertson at the helm.

Culbertson has been a huge advocate for CBD. He started a now-closed petition to allow CBD to be sold as a supplement until it reaches the NHS (National Health Service) – unfortunately, the petition never really came to fruition, but it does show Culbertson’s desire to spread the good word of CBD.

The company takes CBD education seriously and provides customers with an informative CBD blog and an Our Products Explained page dedicated to exploring multiple aspects of CBD (amongst other cannabinoids). This includes articles and literature on the effects CBD and other cannabinoids have on the body, the laws & policies surrounding CBD, and what the company’s products consist of.

You are free to return any product within 28 days of purchase, as long as the product is unopened and in its original packaging. This is fast becoming the industry standard in terms of returning your product.

Where Does Love CBD Source its Hemp?

We like to see CBD companies that are 100% transparent – and Love CBD is just that.

The company’s hemp is sourced from licensed farmers in Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands – the products are guaranteed to be free of any harmful contaminants or chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, solvents, GMOs, or heavy metals.

These claims are backed up by independent third-party testing. You can find lab results and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for all of its products on a dedicated Lab Results page on its website.

What Products Does Love CBD Sell?

Love CBD capsules come in three different strengths over two different product variants, which are made for both beginners and seasoned CBD users alike – the strengths include 150 and 300 mg for the Dutch capsule variant, and 300, 600, and 900 mg for the Entourage capsule variant.

These capsules are very reasonably priced for a full-spectrum CBD product with coconut oil as its carrier oil – the product is also gluten-free and suitable for those with a plant-based diet.

Love CBD Oil Sprays provide 9 different strength variants that come in three different formulas: Love CBD Spray, Love Entourage Spray, and the Love CBD Dutch Spray.

Like the capsules, the strengths cater to CBD users across the board. The 250 and 500 mg options are geared towards beginners or users who don’t need a high amount of CBD. The 2000 mg is the highest strength and suits more advanced users of CBD.

3. CBD Balms

Love CBD describes this product as a “multi-purpose, CBD-rich skin balm” made from “the extract of hand-harvested cannabis flowers” grown in Slovenia and Croatia.

The product is made from all-natural ingredients with no synthetics. These ingredients include cannabis Sativa L., coconut oil, shea butter, Theobroma cacao, grape seed oil, rosemary, Vanilla planifolia, and beta-caryophyllene.

4. CBD E-Liquid

Available in two different variants, Sativa and Indica, these products are engineered solely for vaping use. Both options come in 100 and 500 mg strength options, which work out a potency of 10 and 50 mg of CBD per mL, respectively.

For a CBD e-liquid of this strength, the £19.99 price point is pretty reasonable – however, due to the small bottle size, it might be worth purchasing more than one.

What Does Love CBD Do Well?

1. Inexpensive but Great Value

We’re extremely pleased to see a UK CBD company with a fantastic sense of value over extortionate pricing.

Over the past couple of years, the CBD market has been infiltrated by get-rich-quick companies looking to score themselves a few extra pounds whilst peddling out terrible and unethical products. Love CBD has challenged this by producing high-quality products at a lower price.

2. Each Product Comes with a Dosing Video

Informational videos on how to dose CBD isn’t commonplace amongst CBD companies; however, Love CBD has produced a Vimeo video that details how to use its product and how much you should take.

3. Well Presented Website

Love CBD’s website is clean, polished, and filled with vital literature produced to inform and educate its customers. The layout is simple and easy to navigate with clear links and images alongside engaging blog posts and articles encompassing a range of different topics relating to CBD.

This is incredibly important to a CBD company’s image.

Where Could Love CBD Improve?

1. Expand its Product Range

One of the only criticisms we have about LoveCBD is its limited product range simply because we’d love to see more of what the company could offer outside of what it already has. For a company with a reputation for producing high-quality products, it would be a shame not to capitalize on this.

It’s particularly strange to see no oils being sold, which are usually staple products for most CBD companies.

2. Stronger E-Liquids

Tying in closely with expanding its product range, we’d really like to see LoveCBD producing stronger CBD e-liquids that cater to more experienced CBD vapers – the 250 mg option is fairly weak and won’t be enough for more experienced users.

Third-Party Testing & Safety

Love CBD has a page dedicated to its lab results. The company believes “you have the right to know exactly what you are buying” and “you should be confident that you are purchasing a product with the advertised amount of CBD”, as well as purchasing a product that’s above board legally.

The page provides customers with recent and itemized third-party lab test results for all of its products from three different laboratories: CannabiLab E&H Services, AL-BIOSERVICES, and ADACT

Love CBD’s Shipping & Returns Policy

Love CBD’s Shipping Policy isn’t quite as comprehensive as other companies, but it does highlight the important points you need to know about the shipment of your order.

The domestic UK postage costs are free for Second Class and as cheap as £3.50 for First Class – if your item is over £100, Love CBD will send it First Class Signed For, which means you’ll need to be at home when it arrives.

Delivery time is approximately 2-5 days for Second Class and 1-3 for First Class.

The company also ships internationally (European countries only) for a flat rate of £8.00 via Tracked Express Airmail. This generally takes around 7-21 days depending on location and busy seasons. The list of countries can be found below:

Screenshot taken from Love CBD’s Shipping Policy

Love CBD’s Refund Policy, which can be found on its Terms & Conditions page, is frustratingly uninformative. The company only outlines your rights to a 28-day refund period if you’re not satisfied with your product – though there’s no specific outline to what constitutes not being satisfied.

If you do have a product you’re not happy with, the company asks you to contact it within that 28-day period – if your product is damaged or defective, you have a two-year warranty attached to it.

Final Verdict: Quality CBD At An Affordable Price

From Love CBD’s transparency and the quality of its products to the affordable prices and informational website, we love what the company represents: Putting simple, natural, and effective products on the market.

Though we’d like to see the company produce some more exciting products, the quality of its already existing products against the low cost is very, very impressive.

Overall, we definitely recommend Love CBD as a company and its products.
